I am 36 and have 17 and 15 year old boys. I always wanted a girl but after two boys I have decided to concentrate on my career. Now I’m at the peak of my career and my husband has suggested to think about the third child as in 2 years we will be completely free from our kids as they both go to uni.

My problem is not just the da t that I am 36 but also the fa t that I have sciatica (herniated disc) and am in a lot of pain now. If I get pregnant it will get worse probably?

So I need some advice, shall I risk the third child? Or shall I embrace the total freedom abs enjoy my life as a young mother of grown kids?

Any advice would be appreciated

I have some feelings like that. I'm 37. My eldest are 17 and 16. Although I have two smaller ones as well I have gained some independence and some free time to pick up my hobbies again. I am also working a job which I love.
The thought of having to give it all up again is a massive negitive for me. But the draw to have another child is casting a light on that negitive and almost blotting it out. I can't tell you what is right for you but I wanted to let you know those feelings are normal and shared.

Thank you so much for your message. I agree it is a difficult decision especially when you gain your freedom. I hope I’ll have a clearer idea about it soon. If I do decide it needs to be soon I suppose
