Post Xmas BMI 😬

Anyone on the "(bit) over on the BMI" band wagon. My BMI this morning is 32 😬. I was dieting since 1st December with Xmas week off. I'm quite horrified that I'm 10kg more than 6 months ago. I've not been eating loads and have been fasting to some extent, although not as intensely as previously.

For the last couple of years, my weight settled at a BMI of about 25/26 with a fast diet (half of the week on, half off, watching what I eat when off), but I kept it up. I'm one of the many of us who only need about 1,600 cals per day in spite of running 7km every other day and some pretty epic bike rides at the weekends (70km). I (stupidly) got a bit worried that fasting and exercising so much was causing me to not get pregnant so I loosened up since June/July and now some how I'm here 😬.

Anyone else want to rant/share their January woes?

Me! Put on half a stone over Xmas 🙈I need to lose a few pounds so started exercising a few days ago, not overweight as such, but definitely on the line 😬

I thought dieting was hard, but dieting + TTC adds a new layer. @outback81 what kind of excerise have you found helps? I need to go for a run.

I'm thinking I'll just go for it diet wise, do some serious fasting and get the 10kg off in a couple of months. It's hard to know when TTC if you're just better to get it done and be back to a healthy weight faster but probably reduce your chances for a month or so, or take a more slow and steady approach.

Me! I have always had a perfectly normal BMI but have creeped into the overweight category during lock down- I have out on around 8 kilos. Been TTC for 10 cycles and I am starting to worry that my weight increase is contributing to not getting pregnant so have started to get on the right track this morning with a gentle run and green smoothie for breakfast.

Me! Pre lockdown I was wanting to lose 10kg. First lockdown I lost 4kg! But then I've gained 5 kg since and am firmly in the overweight category lol.

Been TTC for 13 cycles and am kicking myself for not having sorted my weight out during all that time. Am back on myfitnesspal though and making sure I hit my 10k steps daily now that I'm extra sedentary wfh. Hoping to lose 7kg by mid April - that's goal 1!

I have a couple of friends who've lost weight in lockdown. I'm really annoyed at myself to be on the gaining weight side of things! It's a new day and a new year though
