Three evaporation lines?!

I feel like I’m losing my ability to be rational!

I’ve taken three pregnancy tests, two Clear Blue (on the 1st and 2nd of January) and this morning a First Response and each have resulted in a real squinter. If it was just one, I’d have dismissed it as an evaporation line but three has me unsure... has anyone else had any experience of this? Are these lines so common? My period isn’t due until tomorrow (and I’ll obviously test tomorrow AM), but I’m almost expecting another evaporation line at this stage...

Hi @Guineapiggiesmalls I’ve had 3 evaps this cycle, never had any before! Evaps are normally grey rather than pink. Do you have a pic?

I just had similar a few days ago appeared within a few mins and looked pink (one step cheapie, one step in casing, frer) yesterday's was negative but not started bleeding so doubt it was an early loss (had one when trying for my 1st). I'm 4 weeks off the mini pill and breastfeeding so no idea where in my cycle or if ovulated so a bit different to you. 🤞🏻 for you :)

Hi girls, this was a Tesco test... tbh I’ve lost track of what day I’m on and when I ovulated this month just down to work being so busy, I got this within a minute on the Tesco test today..... we’ve been trying to long that I don’t even know if I’m just imagining a line there - what do you think?

@MrsMcNtobe there is definitely a line there, and if it came up on the time frame then I would say it’s positive! Maybe try a FRER if you can get hold of one! Congratulations 🎉

@ChinChilly I’ve literally just said ‘mummy might be pregnant’ to the cat 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 it’s wayyy to icy where I am to go out but I’m going to brave it and hopefully I can get one! X

My three tests, with the oldest at the top. I think I was hoping for a more concrete result, and these tests haven't given me that. I'd just like to know either way really! Plus, a bonus photo of this morning's test...

@Guineapiggiesmalls I can see a line on this mornings test and as long as it came up within the time frame, i would say it is positive! How many dpo are you?

Those aren’t evaps.

They’re early positives.

I believe that the people who claim to have evaps have had early chemicals.

Congratulations, now see if they get stronger over the next few days.

@LividLovely I read something a few weeks ago saying evap lines are 100% not real but I can’t even find the website anymore!

@MrsMcNtobe 100% not real as in, a line is a positive or as in an evap is not a real line? I’ve had 3 this cycle and have just been spotting for the last 3 days

@ChinChilly as in any line means positive and there’s no such thing as evap lines... really don’t know if I believe that but it’s given me a little bit of hope!

@MrsMcNtobe oh wow ok, I’ve never had any to be fair up until this cycle and every test I’ve taken has had an ‘evap line’ this time. Wierd...just have to wait and see if AF starts up properly

Yes, you can spot and still be pregnant (I bled like a period for less than two days) or spot and it be a chemical (had two).

@LividLovely fairly sure I had a chemical last cycle, this cycle I’ve had spotting for 3 days literally just when I wipe for 3 days and still no real period

Have you tested? If there’s a squinter it’s positive, but needs to get darker over time if it’s going to stick.

@LividLovely I tested on the 1st it was a squinter then again on the 2nd and it was negative that’s when the spotting started so just assumed AF was on the way so didn’t test again

@MrsMcNtobe I def see a line on the FR test! Keep testing if you can and see if there is progression, if not wait a few days and do another x

@lockdownbabyx I didn’t want to leave the house because it’s so icy but I knew I had clearblue hidden away but everyone says they’re not sensitive enough etc but I thought try anyway and ......
