Ttc while breastfeeding

I'm breastfeeding my 11 month old and trying to track my cycle, we conceived very quickly with my son and I'd only get a second line on an opk the day before and after my peak the rest were blank white. Now I'm getting mini surges light then a bit darker but still not near positive then lighter again then Blank then the same again...I stopped the mini pill about 4 weeks ago so not sure what's going on? I had my first period at 7 weeks pp then started the pill.

Because I had my first period so early (dr said I was one of the unlucky ones 🤦🏻‍♀️) I thought my cycle would have returned which is why I went on the pill but now I'm wondering if it's stopping the pill or breastfeeding that causing it

No advice sorry but I’m having similar confusion, also bfing an 11 month old and had a pretty dark but not peak opk on CD20 - don’t know if I missed the surge or if I’m not ovulating. Baby’s not sleeping through so my temps won’t be reliable (posting this at 4am 🙄). If yours is then definitely keep temping, I found it more useful than ovulation tests when ttc before.

It's good that you've had a leak though! 🤞🏻 for you :) he's sleeping through but stirs for a suckle which wakes me up 😂 but this time my temps are a lot lower but still no real trend, yeah it's really useful but mine are all over the place but will see if anything emerges from it :)

Hey I've saw older threads on here regarding this and just wondering should we start a new one?

I'm 5mo pp and call me crazy but we want to start trying for number 2 soon! We'd love to have them close in age! I'm not ovulating nor have I had a period yet, just wondering about any advice to get it back? DS sleeps through about 7 hours at night and has done since 10 weeks but it hasn't been enough to bring back af! I've bought OPKs and starting to track and only ever get 1 line :( I really don't want to stop breastfeeding so soon but also want him to have a sibling!

Hi I have an 8 month old and BF started trying for 2nd when she was 6months periods not returned. GP said periods unlikely to come back when BF so frequent she was waking a lot in the night so weaning and combine with gentle sleep training she started sleeping through and has cut down her milk a lot.
Still no period but just found out last week I'm pregnant ! Was tracking with opks and caught ovulation in feb but didn't ovulate in jan definitely think it was cutting down on the BF that sprang everything back into action

Wow you're an inspiration to us allGrin congratulations!!! DS still feeds ALOT during the day so my hormones are prob very suppressed rn. Were you able to reduce feeds by introducing solids?

@momo2301 thanks Grin yeah she took really well to weaning she was ready for it ! Honestly around the 4 month sleep regression she was waking every sleep cycle through the night and I wish I was exaggerating !! I'd just had enough I felt broken and thought it was such an important skill to teach her gently to self settle. She will now go 7.45-7.30 or there abouts
