Trying to conceive after miscarriage

Hey all, I am currently in the middle of a miscarriage but am desperate to try again,

Long story short, I had a blighted ovum, detected at private 10 weeks scan confirmed at hosp at 11 weeks and only miscarried at over 11 weeks.. have been bleeding for 3 days so far.

When will the bleeding stop?
When can I try again?
Handling the pregnancy hormones changing to normal? I feel like I'm losing my mind
Any tips or pointers would be amazing?

Sorry for your loss.

I had a blighted ovum in May at 9+5, I had to have medical management and 2 lots of surgical management so wasn’t completed until July. I then had a couple of infections.

I then had to wait 18 weeks for AF to return so I’m only on my second cycle TTC again.

Wait for bleeding to completely stop and take a test at week 3 of starting to bleed, contact EPU if you still have a positive.

Personally, I would say wait until your first cycle returns to resume TTC x

When will the bleeding stop?
Should stop within 2 weeks of it starting. If not, contact EPU.

When can I try again?
Dont have sex until you stop bleeding. Make sure tour tests go negative before trying again (should happen within 3 weeks of starting to miscarry). If not, contact EPU as may mean retained tissue. Some medics will say to wait until after an AF but this is just because it makes pregnancy easier to date.

Handling the change?
All your feelings are normal and this is shit. I'm sorry this is happening to you. The hormone changes do cause difficult moods, but also this is just a crap time.

So extremely sorry you are going through this. Be kind and gentle to yourself and take your time. As previously said, keep testing until you get a negative test. If you don’t get a negative, seek help. Once bleeding has stopped it generally means the cervix has closed up again and therefore safe to have sex (less risk of getting an infection). They say you are quite fertile after a loss so fingers crossed for you. Wasn’t the case for us unfortunately ☹️

Thank u all so much for replying to me and all the advice, really appreciate it, have only been bleeding for 4 days atm, but it feels like a million years, just so anxious to try again, but really want my rainbow baby, it's just so awful how many women are affected by miscarriage and how little it is talked about, this site is a great outlet..
