Implantation or Period?

First post so bare with me...

I have ALWAYS had very heavy and painful periods, have never recalled anything other until this month... started bleeding 27/12 stopped by 30/12 AM. I didn’t have to use a pad or tampon at all, was only when I wiped and had very mild, barely noticeable cramps for one day.

We BD 7th & 19th not sure when I would have ovulated as I have slightly irregular periods

Have been extremely tired since 27th but put that down to the Christmas period but today I have sore boobs.

Took a test earlier, came back negative but was very diluted so will try again in the morning but just wanted to get someone else’s opinion... don’t want to mention to any one I know as I hate getting their hopes up!

Don’t know if anyone will even see this but felt good to get off my chest 😂

Hello 😊 It sounds like you've had some implantation bleeding! I'm in a similar situation! Not formally trying with my partner but we dtd on the 23rd which was 2 days before I ovulated. The last 2 days I've had a tiny amount of brown/pink in my discharge (sorry major TMI!!) and cramps really low down (much milder than my period cramps though). My appetite has also been a bit strange (not hungry and then all of a sudden ravenous but there's nothing I really want to eat 🤷🏼‍♀️) I'm not due on until Thursday so I'm trying to hold off testing until then.. even though there's a first response test waiting for me 🤣 Let me know how you get on with your test in the morning!! 🙏🏼

That sounds just like me!! So annoying that it’s so similar to PMS though, the mood swings, cravings 😂 I will! You do the same 😁 I’m not getting my hopes up as it could well be just a very light period just so odd as I’ve never had one before! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

It's so hard to know what to think isn't it! And SO hard to relax and not think about it - as it's all a little bit life changing! 😂 Have you been trying for long?

100%! I try not to think about it, but it’s just so impossible haha. No not very long, a few months. We had a MC in May (not planned) so we have both said that we are not going to get our hopes up too much just in case but again, it’s hard not to 🙈

Took test this morning, negative

Oh poo. I wonder if it's still too early? If what you had was implantation bleeding, it could have been as early as 6/7dpo and we're not too far past that now. I reckon unless your period shows up, test in 2 days time 😊

Implantation bleeding is only a spot or two, 3 days of bleeding is almost certainly your period.

@AliciaMaySmith Of course! ❤️ My symptoms have been continuing and I had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday evening too.. I'll be so shocked if I am as it will literally be a one hit wonder?! 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm 9dpo tomorrow, I'm tempted to try a test but I don't want to get into a little testing frenzy squinting at lots of lines, such an emotional rollercoaster! But at the same time I'd also like to start taking some vitamins if I am pregnant.. tricky!! I think I might meet in the middle and test on Tuesday or Wednesday. Let me know when you test again!
