Spotting or AF

I am TTC and 12DPO today. AF would usually arrive today for me. I'm confused because I had some pregnancy symptoms and creamy discharge on CD8. The discharge then became pink tinged on CD9 which I hoped was spotting. CD10 the discharge stopped but spotting continued (BFN on IC). Spotting started to go red rather than pink on CD11 so I counted myself out and assumed AF had started. I use a menstrual cup and by the end of yesterday I'd had basically no blood but what was there was dark red and had tiny clots in. This has continued into today with hardly any blood at all but small clots visible. Google is no help as it says that clotting should only happen on the heaviest days of AF but that there would be no clots with spotting either 😣 can anybody shed some light on this? I seem to be neither spotting OR on my period!! I had a BFN with FRER this morning too

Didn't want to read and run, but I had this last month, been struggling with a short LP (spotting from 9dpo) but so far this has been a sign of af for me, hoping it's different for you!

Thank you @outback81. I'm sure it will be AF I just wish it would start properly so I can stop second guessing it. I need to stop googling as everything I read says you should only have clots with heavy bleeding. If anything I'm getting all clots and the tiniest drops of blood (sorry TMI)

@ChristmasJumpers I know that feeling! Have you been ttc for long?

@outback81 2 years now, we have a fertility clinic appointment booked for the end of March but every month my symptoms are different leading to AF so I get my hopes up 😞
