I'm looking advice for what you did or wish you did before TTC?

Of course there is no right time but theres a few things I want to do before such as-
Lose some weight.
Get a bit fitter.
Wean myself down to one coffee a day.

Any other pieces of advice would be greatly received! Whether financial/practical/anything else!

Going to start TTC in 6 months to 1 year (we have a wedding to go to in Italy, hopefully but who knows, in August so want to start trying after).

And yes I'm an excessive planner/organiser Grin

I'd definitely look at the financial side of things. For us we looked at what direct debits we could get rid of, what expensive jobs needed doing (boarding the loft) and then saving as much as possible.

We are currently working our way through the house sorting out things each month I don't get pregnant so that its one less thing to worry about/cause inconvenience.

Saving a comfortable amount of money - so any baby items are already paid for and your maternity leave you can live on your previous "salary" and take the longest period off

Yoga - strong lean muscles is good for birth and supporting your body through a heavy pregnancy

Folic acid - should be taken as soon as contraception stops, some argue all women of childbearing age should take it just in case.

Couple time - go on spontaneous trips, weekends away (covid permitting)

Thank you!

Three great pieces of advice so far! I'm a great saver but would need to really save hard over the next while as maternity pay would only be statutory.
