I have just turned 40 and finally after years of battling had my thyroid removed.
Will it be possible at all for me to get pregnant, I had one pregnancy 9 years ago with ended in miscarriage so it was possible once.

I am desperate to have a child of my own just want to know if anyone else has been in the same boat?

My sister has had her thyroid removed and has just found out she is pregnant. She's a couple of years younger than you, but it took her about 6 months to conceive (naturally) so It is certainly ossible.

Once your thyroid levels are controlled with your meds i don't see why not. Post on the thyroid page of Health Unlocked for invaluable advice. Helped me!
