AF just came ☹️ which means this cycle was only 23 days so slight worry there. Onto cycle 3 then!

SadieSazzle · 08/01/2021 14:30

@SophieMorton Thanks for that. This is the first step before my GP refers to the infertility clinic. She said to get 21/22 day bloods but never said what they look for specifically so thought I'd check with the real experts! 😉

SophieMorton · 08/01/2021 14:37

@SadieSazzle haha mine was to check for abnormal levels (as I was having -20d cycles) but it was before ttc so there could be something specific they’re looking at in order to refer you for treatment. I love how forthcoming they are 🙄

@RHODXB uh I feel your disappointment. Have a drink?! I have cycles that are 23-25 days long and according to pros there’s no issues with that as long as I do OV. I guess if it’s really different from usual cycle maybe check?

bear1991 · 08/01/2021 14:50

Hi all! Hope I’m not too late jumping on. Had my coil out today so planning on start TTC number 2. DS was conceived about 2 or 3 weeks after I had my last coil out!

FluffyLittleDragon · 08/01/2021 14:54

@Tara1711.....I've been pampering myself today & making more time for myself & DH. I'm just staying in the moment & enjoying it 😎.

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 08/01/2021 15:06

@SadieSazzle it's checking progesterone levels at the 21 day bloods I believe. Anything over 30 is fine apparently. I've just been told mine were 42 which was normal. No need to fast beforehand. If progesterone is low then it can cause pregnancy not to stick x

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 08/01/2021 15:08

@RHODXB how long are your cycles usually? If it's a week or so early it could be failed implantation which is a good sign something is happening at least! X

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 08/01/2021 15:10

@Dogmum13 where are you in your cycle? I've been having horrendous night sweats since my last mc..could be hormones causing havoc? Although I've had sinusitis with just acute sinus pain before. Definitely speak to a doc if it doesn't improve.x

Dogmum13 · 08/01/2021 15:27

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking I'm 12dpo today. Boobs are really sore but always are sore so hard to know if it means anything. Also been getting these prickly feeling just under my boobs but still on them in that makes sense and its kinda making my ribs feel a little sore. Spoke to gp this morning who said it's not typical covid symptoms but it could be some other virus. I just feel like I'm too warm tbh 🤣 I'm always cold but for some reason I can't seem to cope with heat atm. Shouted at dp for turning on the heating this morning as I was lying in bed roasting, he said he thought I would be cold. Which I normally would be lol

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 08/01/2021 15:30

@Dogmum13 might be worth doing a covid test to be sure? I know of people whose only symptoms was sore ribs and chest. Hope you feel better soon! Have you tested yet?

OP posts:
BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 08/01/2021 15:30

@Dogmum13 pregnancy test I mean!x

OP posts:
Dogmum13 · 08/01/2021 15:34

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking I did one at 10dpo but nothing. Was planning to try this morning but I peed too many times during the night 🤣 it's not actually a sore rib it's the breast tissue in front of the rib. Does that make sense? I might get a covid test, will see how I feel tomorrow. I'm not leaving the house anyway and neither is dp. Will try to do the pregnancy test again tomorrow. Not getting my hopes up as it's been too long without even a hint of a positive

SadieSazzle · 08/01/2021 15:34

@SophieMorton @BubsNumber2inTheMaking

Thanks very much - great to be able to tap into so much knowledge! Ok, so hoping for a progesterone level above 30 then! 👍

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 08/01/2021 15:35

@Dogmum13 you never know! Will keep fingers crossed for you xx

@SophieMorton thanks! I'm trying to quit drink altogether but maybe using up the last of the baileys on a coffee will perk me up! @BubsNumber2inTheMaking my cycles are anywhere between 23 and 26 days usually but last was 28! I do wonder about failed implantation as I worry my progesterone may be low. Think a visit to the docs may be due! Just get anxiety at the thought of bad news as I got pregnant with my daughter as soon as I came off the pill!

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 08/01/2021 15:40

@SadieSazzle 🤣dont take my word as gospel! The doc went through it so fast. I think they check something else too but not sure what. And I think if progesterone is greater than 30 then it indicates you did actually ovulate. I think 🤣x

OP posts:
BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 08/01/2021 15:41

@RHODXB I wouldn't worry too much about low levels causing failed implantation. I've had a few and my levels are normal. I also had one the month before I conceived my son (who is now 4!)x

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking thanks 🙂 will let you know

RHODXB · 08/01/2021 16:19

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking oh wow that's good to know! Smile

FluffyLittleDragon · 08/01/2021 17:30

Q: When someone (colleague, family member etc) asks you, "why aren't you PG yet?" Or something along those lines. How do you handle it? Personally I can get defensive very quickly & I'm blunt. I've been told that I'm not getting younger & so on.

RHODXB · 08/01/2021 17:34

@FluffyLittleDragon I used to get this a lot when my daughter was younger but as she's got older ppl have stopped asking. It is frustrating and even though it's not said with intent I'm sure it can hurt when you are trying and nothing is happening ( or in my case want another but husband didn't). I don't know the answer but fully sympathise!

SophieMorton · 08/01/2021 18:05

@FluffyLittleDragon I always say it’s none of your business. Maybe your trying and it’s taking it’s time, don’t want to have kids or have stopped trying...why would you want to stir potentially negative feelings up for me just to satisfy your curiosity, it’s such a personal question. Am I less of a person or inadequate if I don’t have a child is my more defensive stance if it’s someone who is annoying me/I don’t like lol.
To people closer to me I often say care more about my feelings and that I might be battling with the decisions/money/fertility than the yet to be produced baby. It really gets on my nerves haha

MamaPheebz · 08/01/2021 18:20

@MgW1 plodding along nicely thanks for asking. Going to do a digital test tomorrow and try and stop peeing on sticks after that! The pains keep coming and going but i’ve been fine today. I’m telling myself it is good pain and baby is growing nicely.

Happy New TTC Bus - Jan 2021 - it's going to be a corker!
Sar1010 · 08/01/2021 18:26

@MamaPheebz oh wow! It’s looking marvellous so far!! How are you feeling? Any symptoms other than the coming and going pains? What DPO are you?

FluffyLittleDragon · 08/01/2021 18:59

@RHODXB & @SophieMorton, thank you for your help. You're right it's not anyone's business except for mine & DH. I feel like I'm entering a new world after marriage & I will tell ppl to leave me alone or back off. It does hurt that I'm not PG yet however I know it's early days.

I apologise if this is a naive question however I know every pregnancy can be different. My Q is what does early pregnancy (under a month) feel like? Do you suffer every common symptoms of pregnancy?
