Easy@Home ovulation tests - help!

Hi everyone,

I'm on cycle day 11 and I think due to ovulate sometime between tomorrow and 3rd Jan (cycle length has been variable recently for unclear reasons). I've been trying to track it with the Easy@Home ovulation sticks but can't get it to register anything. Most sticks come out at zero, and the couple that have registered have come up at 0.19 on the app, with no line visible to my eye. The example graph on the home page of the app makes it look like the number should be going up quite a few days before ovulation and certainly by now. I think I've followed all the instructions e.g. afternoon wee, don't drink too much, stick to the max line. I don't tend to get strong symptoms of ovulation like others do, and can't do BBT tracking for various reasons.

Grateful for any advice! Is this totally normal? Could I have missed ovulation (the cycle before last was only 23 days), even with testing once a day? Could it be that I'm not ovulating? Or have you tried this brand and had dodgy tests? Thank you in advance

Hello, I've used these sticks and the app before and haven't had the 'gradual rise' you see on the app. When I was doing it would always just shoot up one day (strong in the morning and peak in the afternoon) and pretty much go back to normal the next day. I looked on the website and apparently there are two types of surge- gradual and sudden, apparently both as common as each other so that explained things for me. On day 11 I would expect it to come out as practically nothing anyway, given you might not ov for a while. Hope that helps x

That is so helpful, thank you @SEpoppet! I had no idea it could be sudden or gradual. I wish they'd make that clearer on the app - will have a look at the website now. That's calmed me down - much appreciated!
