How long to conceive after pill

Hey,

I came off the pill beginning of November.. was wondering how long it took everyone to conceive after?
It's so hard to track ovulation as my pill stopped my periods so it's like starting all over again 🙈

It took me 3 months, this was 4 years ago.

londongirl12 · 30/12/2020 16:16

The next month. But everyone is different so there's no point in asking really as it can be a wide range

emilyylouise · 30/12/2020 17:16

@londongirl12 I get that, but I wanted to hear other peoples stories on how quick they got pregnant.

Thanks

A week. My GP was in shock, as was I.

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 30/12/2020 17:29

It took me 9 months - good luck

Flowerbudd · 30/12/2020 17:45

Hey :) I was off the pill 4 months but we conceived after 2 - i waited a few months for my body to settle which luckily it did very quickly :) Everyone is so so different but it can happen. Good luck Smile xxx

3 months which ended in MC and then over a year after the MC before getting another BFP

emilyylouise · 30/12/2020 17:48

@Flowerbudd

Awesome! 😀 I have been on the pill for 8 years now so was just after stories on how other girls got on and if it took a long time for things to go back to normal, fingers crossed for the next couple of months 🤞🏻

2 cycles / 6mo - pill didnt reduce fertility but it did take me a long time to ovulate after coming off it (approx 128 days)

firsttimemummy321 · 30/12/2020 18:05

With my little boy it took 6 weeks to have my first period (wanted to have one before we tried).conceived the first month but unfortunately we had an early loss then conceive my little boy the next cycle

Mochatatts · 30/12/2020 18:06

Took 9/10 months when I came off microgynon 13/14 years ago. Took about 4 months when I had the implant out 10 years ago. I came off cerelle in May and was pregnant 2 weeks later, 34wks tomorrow. And I was 38 when I conceived this time compared to my 20s with the previous two pregnancies x

wensleydalecheese · 30/12/2020 20:39

I came off cerazette (POP) in April with the aim of starting TTC in September but delayed it til this month. My periods and roughly 28 day cycles came back straight away which I was pleasantly surprised about. However, it took til Sept/Oct time before I felt I'd gotten to know my cycle and what's normal for me. I'd never been sexually active and not on the pill (was on it for 13 years!), so it was nice having that break and learning about what things like EWCM is!

Padstar · 30/12/2020 20:56

I was on the pill for many years... came off 1st January, withdrawal bleed straight away and first natural period about 6 weeks later. I was lucky and went straight into regular cycles from there, used OPK’s and got my BFP in May, so 3 months after my ‘real’ period.

My periods were much lighter and shorter (2 days, barely even needed a pad on the ‘heaviest’ day) post pill. It worried me that my lining wasn’t building up enough but it clearly wasn’t a problem, baby is due any time now! Good luck 😊

emilyylouise · 30/12/2020 21:07

Thank you everyone 😀

Hiya for me it was the first month with first child, 2nd month with second child and this is the 3rd month off the pill trying to conceive 3rd child so hoping I will conceive this month, and if I did how weird would that be!x

emilyylouise · 31/12/2020 10:27

@Jordie24 wow that would be weird!! So surprised at how quick everything bounces back as soon as you stop taking it x
