Postive or Evap??

Hi

So I have wrote on some other boards as I am currently on day 57 of my cycle with no period. I have long cycles so i wouldn’t know exactly when I ovulated but have had a lot of sex since my last period.

I did a clear blue early detection yesterday, seemed negative so I left it but didn’t throw it away. Something told me to look at it this morning and there is clearly a line there and it is blue not grey. It is hard to see in pictures I have also inverted the pic.

I would not like to be pregnant right now so this is not good news

Please any advice is this an evap??

It looks positive to me but you can’t really trust outside the time frame. I’d suggest popping out and getting another test. Preferably a FRER

Bex19999 · 29/12/2020 11:13

I couldn’t find a frer in the shops so got this one.. are evaps colourless ? As this is definitely blue

faintposorevap · 29/12/2020 11:22

I can see the second line too.

Bex19999 · 29/12/2020 11:28

I have done another clear blue as I had a pack of two which is negative.. I assume this was an evap ? Or is it worth doing a frer still

I would still try a FRER with first urine of the day. If anything to ease your mind.

The line looks blue to me and not like an evap line

SEE123 · 29/12/2020 11:42

I see a line :)

Bex19999 · 29/12/2020 11:44

@WalkingMeAway the line is most definitely a very clear blue but the other test I have just done is completely negative

This looks like my positive at 8-9 days po. Test again tomorrow morning. Took me a few more days to get a positive on a digital, but I did get a faint positive on a FRER the next day.

YOUVE SAID YOUVE HAD LOTS OF SEX EHHH IF U DONT WANT TO BE PREGNANT WHAT FORM OF CONTRACEPTION ARE U USING SURLEY LOGICALLY THE THING TO DO IS TO GET SIME CONCEPTION OF U DONT WANT TO BE PREGNANT COMMON SENSE

Bex19999 · 29/12/2020 11:49

@Babyjuice no need for the caps. I didn’t say I’d had lots of unprotected sex did I ?

OP posts:
Bex19999 · 29/12/2020 11:50

We use condoms which obviously are not 100 percent

OP posts:
Babyjuice · 29/12/2020 11:54

BUT ITS STILL LOTS OF SEX AND AS YOUVE JUST SAID CONDOMS ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT100 PER CENT U MAKE NO SENSE ANYWAYS GOOD LUCK

Bex19999 · 29/12/2020 11:56

Lol there are lots of people who just use condoms for contraception ?

OP posts:
WalkingMeAway · 29/12/2020 11:57

Wow @Babyjuice that’s a bit uncalled for. I don’t think any contraception is 100% is it ?!

I hope you get the answer you want @Bex19999

Bex19999 · 29/12/2020 11:58

Thank you @WalkingMeAway x

OP posts:
Babyjuice · 29/12/2020 12:10

shes just contradicted herself by saying that condoms are not obviously 100 per cent so if u are having lots of sex then u would double up on contraception ie pill and condoms and if fir example it still happens then OBVIOUSLY it was meant to be it sounds very raw but its the true anyways as i said already each too there own good luck

Bex19999 · 29/12/2020 12:20

😂 you make no sense

OP posts:
WalkingMeAway · 29/12/2020 12:27

Who doubles up with condoms if they’re on the pill?! Most people trust the form of contraception will work for them.
And are aware that nothing is 100%.
Have a day off @Babyjuice. No need to comment if you can’t offer support. Different if the OP had been reckless but she really hasn’t.

^^ This! 👏👏👏

I can never fathom why some people are so combative to people asking for support on here SMH

jazzibelle · 29/12/2020 13:28

@Bex19999 that looks positive to me. Whatever the outcome, you have options and time to consider them all. Wishing you well, I hope this works out the best for you -- whichever way it goes x

@Pickamix are you for real? The poster was being unnecessarily unkind to the OP who was just looking for some support. Where has compassion and kindness gone?!

Bex19999 · 29/12/2020 16:43

@Pickamix I came on here to ask for advice and the poster was clearly offering none and typing in capitals to indicate shouting 😕😕. If you can’t offer any actual advice then why do ppl feel the need to comment ? To tell me I should also use the pill as well as condoms if I want to ‘have a lot of sex’ and I am contradicting myself ?? If I wanted to be on a hormonal contraceptive I would and don’t need to be told to double up on contraception thanks
