Hi ladies 🖐 just wondering how long on average have ladies took to fall pregnant after their coils were removed ? I had mine removed on the 26th nov and bled on the 28th would I take that as a period or a withdrawal bleed?

Thanks for reading 🙂

Hi! I had my Kyleena coil out in September and was pregnant 30 days later 😳 it can be super quick! I'm currently 12 weeks.

Before my previous pregnancy I had a copper coil (way back when) it was removed in the April and I was pregnant by the September.

Good luck! Xx

First month both times. But it was a copper coil, don’t know if the hormone ones are different

I had the mirena coil in for less than a year , so I am hoping it doesn't take me long to get a BFP , but 30 days thats super quick I ideally want to be pregnant before I am 34 my youngest son is 14 months so I want them close together ❤

Had my coil out early November last year currently feeding my 4 month old! Got a BFP about 5 weeks after having it out.

Mine was a mirena and I had had it in for about 2 years 4 months

Oh wow buttercupcup that's fast its giving me hope that I shouldn't wait too long for a BFP ♥️

I conceived 6 weeks after the mirena came out

PurBal · 28/12/2020 22:17

I had a withdrawal bleed a few days afterwards and then one proper period.

My gynaecologist said that technically you can get pregnant just by taking it out (if you've recently had sex and there is sperm hanging around).

I had my coil out in mid June - DD2 was born the following March! It completely surprised DH and I as it took a while to conceive DD1.

All these post are positive 🤞 the bleed i had after it came out is that the withdrawal bleed? Or would that be my af ? Thanks ladies for all your comments ♥️

Also interested in these answers! I had the mirena out in September and decided to give it a few months for the cycles to get back to normal and after this AF finishes we will be starting TTC. My cycles have been quite irregular (25, 24, 27 and 29 days).

Just to throw in a different experience, sorry not meaning to be negative. I've had my kyleena out a year and am still trying 😞 very naively thought I'd at least be pregnant by now but nothing... 😢 I'm 30, no known issues, had had it fitted a year and previously been on various pills on and off. Will never know for sure but can't help wishing I'd never had it fitted as feel sure it's responsible for super light periods now unfortunately.

ToniRx18 · 29/12/2020 09:49

Its good to see both sides to be realistic i am hoping that it doesn't take me as long as I want a close age gap for my son so I said if not pregnant by 34 then I am just going to leave it so I have till September to get pregnant , I have 4 children from previous relationship who are all close in age and they are a 6 year age gap between my daughter and my youngest who's 14 months 🙂 so this would be baby number 6 for me ♥️
