Does lube prohibit conception

Just that really, I've heard using lube can hamper the conception process. I'm talking generic lube and not one marketed as a conception aid, if there even is such a thing. Does anyone have any insight or experience?
Thanks

Try preseed or similar. Acts as a live but is sperm-friendly.

Lube, not live

Yes regular lube can affect sperm, as far as I can remember it creates a slight barrier and they cannot swim as well. Preseed or conceive plus are good alternatives, I’ve tried both and prefer conceive plus (also got pregnant whist using it)

Yes, it can interfere with conception, but not strongly enough to be reliable birth control.

Apparently it slows sperm down. We used the conceive plus lube and got pregnant (the lube only, not those weird applicator things!)

So if you wanted to use lube it's best to use a Conception friendly type? I'm 35 with one ovary and one fallopian tube so I done believe it will ever happen for me anyway
