Ovulation questions

I have a few ovulation questions:

  1. if you don't ovulate one month and don't have a period, when do start tracking your cycle the next month to track ovulation?
  2. if you don't ovulate one month are you more likely to release two eggs the next month?
  3. if you miss a period but aren't pregnant should you wait until your next period arrives before TTC?

  1. Your next cycle doesn't start until you get a period.
  2. No, unless you're taking fertility drugs or non-identical twins run in your family (female side), then it's unlikely you would release 2 eggs.
  3. You can only miss a period if you're pregnant, otherwise your period is late or you haven't yet ovulated. So do a pregnancy test and if negative, keep TTC.

If you really want to understand what's going on with your cycle you need to use OPKs and BBT monitoring, I'd also recommend getting the Fertility Friend app.

@ButterscotchBabe thanks for these answers! At the moment I use the clear blue connected monitor and have been tracking cycles since Sept. This month was the one month I forgot to track as I was really busy! I POAS twice on days 14 and 15 and got the high fertility but didn't repeat on 16 and 17 to see if I got my peak. Currently on day 29 with no sign of AF! I've done 3 pregnancy tests and all negative. It would be miracle conception as we used a condom and DTD on day 15! Assuming I did ovulate late on 16 or 17 then that would mean my period is delayed by that much too. Prior to this cycles have been about 26 days long with ovulation on Day 13 or Day 14.
