Am I going mad?

Hi all,
Due on my period today and yesterday and this morning I’ve been having tiny brown smudges only when I wipe. Also needing the toilet a lot more.
I thought I was out but just tested and I’m sure I can see a very faint line? Don’t want to get too excited yet. I also inverted it and darkened it. My partner sees it!
Happy new year to you all too.

Having a similar morning, it’s maddening isn’t it?
I think I can see a very faint line on the inverted picture.

@AnaS86 thank you! Good luck to us both. Are you going to do a digital? I'm too scared it will be negative!

Sorry I can't see anything, if your period is due today you should test with a FRER, that will give you an accurate result.

NotSure94 · 27/12/2020 11:06

Looks like a line to me.

Graced05111991 · 27/12/2020 13:21

Just did a digital one!

Awesome!

BriocheBuns · 27/12/2020 14:03

It’s amazing how faint the line is on the cheapie but a digital can give u a positive. I bet a FRER would be very prominent at this point. Huge congratulations x

Graced05111991 · 27/12/2020 14:07

@BriocheBuns wondering whether to buy one of these but no point now really!

BriocheBuns · 27/12/2020 14:10

U have ur answer with the digital so no not much point unless u just wanted to see two pink lines x

ButterscotchBabe · 27/12/2020 14:19

Congratulations!!

Pudding01 · 27/12/2020 14:40

Hey all sorry to jump on the thread...

I need to get this out to someone so I shall post on here in the vain hope there is someone out there in the same boat that wants a good old rant about how annoying it is waiting for AF or BFP!!!

So I was due on on 25th but I usually have spotting the day before. So woke up 25th (yes Xmas day) and was SOOOO moody and cranky. Was convinced I was coming on. Nothing. Not a spot. I am regular as clockwork and nothing!!! I’ve had minimal cramps, I feel super bloated and my boobs feel enormous. I have done a couple of tests and nothing. I am sure with my first I had passed my period date but I wasn’t tracking that so I have no real idea when I was due or how long past that date I found out I was preggers.

I would love to have my second and it’s driving me insane. I am never late and genuinely there is no sign of anything happening downstairs.

I feel better now I’ve got that off my chest. Isn’t it funny how sometimes just writing it down can make you feel better.

Urgh i know this is the worst: not knowing what is going on :( 🥺 do you have the possibility to get a blood test? This would tell you for sure if you’re pregnant or not. If not pregnant, it could be that you ovulated late and therefore your period will come later than usual
Jess1687 · 27/12/2020 18:24

You sound in the same situation as me. I’m driving myself Crazy. Was due on 19th Dec and nothing arrived. Tested on 23rd twice one with morning wee and then brought one of the 6days early first response tests and both negative. Then tested again on Christmas Day with the first response and negative. I’m now a week late. I’ve got really bad nausea and bloating but I’ve really worked myself up over this. Apart from no AF and nausea I don’t really have any other symptoms my boobs feel slightly tender but nothing major. I just don’t know what to do and just want to stop thinking about it!

1littlewren · 27/12/2020 18:54

@Butterfly93 It's so frustrating. I think it's more annoying when you know your body so well and you know something isn't right!! Maybe it was a late ovulation this month, we shall wait and see (albeit a little impatiently!!)

1littlewren · 27/12/2020 18:55

@Jess1687
YES!! I feel totally fine aside from the fact I have bloating and what feels like massive boobs 🤣 I try not to symptom spot but it's so hard. Are you going to test again if are you going to wait and ring GP?

Jess1687 · 27/12/2020 19:24

I just tested again still negative. So probably will give the drs a call on Tuesday. I’ve just never missed one in my life. If I am pregnant then it would be our first, so I haven’t even got past experiences to go on. I just want to know what’s going on as my stomach has not felt like this before, but then I’m stressing and when I get anxious it makes me feel sick. What are you going to do?

1littlewren · 27/12/2020 19:39

@Jess1687 ahh bless you. What tests are you using? Easier said than done, but try and relax! Im going to try and not be a crazy lady and wait a few days and see what happens now.

Jess1687 · 27/12/2020 19:46

I had some supermarket ones and then went and got the first response 6 days earlier ones, as I thought surely they would pick something up! working on my dates it would be approx 4 weeks since conception

Butterfly93 · 27/12/2020 19:52

Jess, have you tried clearblue digital ? The one that tells you how many weeks. They’re usually pretty good at detecting pregnancies x

Jess1687 · 29/12/2020 21:33

Just thought I would give an update in case anyone else comes across this thread. Spoke to GP today. He has told me to stop doing anymore tests for now, based on me being 12 days late he said I would be 6 weeks pregnant so likely hood of it being positive is slim. Maybe to do one in two weeks. He suggested it might be a chemical pregnancy but thought I would be experiencing something by now to suggest it’s over. I’ve been getting more cramps over the last few days and the nausea has finally stopped today, which I’m thankful for. So maybe AF is on the way. He said I may also be pregnant but unlikely or it’s just my body having a melt and not having one this month. Have to phone back if I get to 19th Jan and AF hasn’t come and he will do some bloods to check for pregnancy or any other issues which is causing it.

Jess1687 · 29/12/2020 22:02

Just an update on my update...AF has arrived 12days late. I think based on what my GP said with me having some symptoms likely it could have been a chemical pregnancy. Have to say I’m relieved to know something has happened

Graced05111991 · 30/12/2020 06:21

@Jess1687 I'm sorry it's not your month but Atleast like you said something has happened and further tests won't need doing!
I thought for it to be a chemical pregnancy you had to get a positive pregnancy test first. But that's only what people have been saying on forums so I have no clue! Take care of yourself. Would be good to keep us updated on here when you do get your positive Smile xx
