Pre Conception Question

Me and my OH are going to start trying next month once my pill course ends. My question is would it be beneficial to start taking pre conception vitamins now for the month lead up before we start actively trying? TIA

Yes. Also things like folic acid I think are good to take for a few months in the run up to TTC.

Thank you. I’ve got the Pregnacare Vitabiotics before Conception but wasn’t sure when to start taking it lol

I’m also on 3 monthly B12 injections, does anyone know if this will be a problem or effect anything? TIA

I wouldn't bother with preconception vitamins personally. They seem to lengthen people's cycles/delay ovulation.

I'd just take a generic multivitamin until you're TTC if you think you need it and then switch to a combined Vitamin D and Folic acid tablet until you conceive.

I'm not sure about the B12 injections.

The midwife told me that the folic acid and vitamin D need to be in your system for a few months ideally. So start taking them as soon as you can.

I took the Pregnacare conception and had no issues with my cycles. I would say try them for yourself because everyone is totally different. I was very hesitant to take them even though my nurse had advised them after reading things on here. As soon as I started taking the Pregnacare consistently, I was pregnant next cycle. Could be coincidence but also I may having been missing certain things from my diet.
