Do I need to call GP if I've had a chemical pregnancy?

Just that. Pretty sure I've had an early miscarriage, positive test then heavy bleeding and negative test a week later.
Do I need to call the doctor, so they can put it on my file or anything?
Thanks

Sorry to hear that

No, I wouldn’t bother . Just make a mental note of it but they are so common x

I didn't when it happened to me.

I'm so sorry it's happened to you too Thanks

The only thing to consider is if you go on to have more, to be referred on the NHS for specialist input, you have to have had 3 or more.
This may have to be on your medical record.

I would call the doctor and have it recorded. I suspected a miscarriage a few years ago but didn’t call up as didn’t realise I needed to - it delayed me being referred for recurrent miscarriage treatment as they needed 3 to be on the record. After my 3rd ‘official’ miscarriage they did add it to my notes however the delay was already done.

Thank you, and so sorry to hear of your losses all.
That's a really good point @Littlegoth and @Pickypolly. I'll call next week just to get it recorded.

Yes get it recorded because if it becomes a ‘thing’ you will be glad u did. I’ve had 3 this year and glad I informed gp of each one as it takes 3 to get referred x

Yes, I would let them know in case it's something that happens again.

So sorry that's happened to you OP x
