IVF Doctor Does Not Do Blood Tests??

I’m onto my second IVF cycle (FET) and he hasn’t done any blood tests before, during it after. Is this normal? I mean when I first started seeing him I have my viral screens and general hormone profile. During my stims no bloods taken.

I take estrogen and progesterone medication prior to and during my cycle and no blood tests then either. He only does a scan to check my lining is optimal for implantation.

Does this sound right to anyone?

I never had bloods during the cycle itself. Mine was a fresh cycle though (if that makes a difference). I did end up with quite mild ohss.

Dd is now 21 months.

It makes sense with a natural cycle as at the usual time you had your transfer your hormone levels should have more than likely been at their optimal levels making your uterus more receptive for implantation.

I think with a medicated cycle it should be monitored closer to make sure the level of medication is suitable for a specific patient as not everyone will respond to the same level of drugs.

I don’t know. Maybe I’m being pedantic who knows!

I didn’t have any bloods taken for either my ivf cycle or FET. Both worked fine and were timed/checked/monitors by ultrasound.

@Twickerhun really? Everywhere I’ve read has stated that cycles without bloods have a much lower chance of success. Like I said, perhaps I’m being pedantic.

5 fresh cycles 3 X FET.
Bloods before fresh cycles only if it was over a certain period of time before starting (can’t remember how long-sorry but thinking 12 + months)
Never any bloods before FET.

Never any bloods during or after btw.
