@Mol234 woop for the digital! and thank you for the recap, I do love those. Does that mean you caught on your first ovulation post pill?? Looks like you just had a giant cycle, ovulated on the 2nd and then BAM!

@kay00 I do so hope the iso works out for you, this long wait for ovulation must be so frustrating!

@ElizabethP141 I had really short periods for almost a year after coming off the pill. I had one day of spotting and one day of light flow, that's it. At the 11 month mark that went up by an extra day of medium flow and after a few months it's gone up to 4 days of a mix of medium and light days. Saying that though - loads of ladies get their BFPs with the super light periods anyway so I don't think it's a problem. Plus I had an ultrasound when I was still having the really light periods and it came back fine in terms of lining thickness!

10DPO here ladies and my boobs are sore but my temp dropped today. RHR went up one though! I'll attach the chart in a second.

@ChinChilly My OH is so stressed with work at the moment it's making things even worse. Maybe I'll tactically tell him to book a few days off that happen to be around my next FW 😂

Thank you so much for responding! It is so good to hear of others having this experience. I've got to say there's not much out there about post pill experiences, lots of doom and gloom so it's great to hear first hand :)

I think AF has finished today so I'm going to start LH tests (is that OPK?? New to these acronyms!) and see what happens!

@Mol234 amazing! Congratulations! And is that first ovulation baby?? Wowwee if that's the case!!

@ElizabethP141 yes OPK is short for ovulation predictor kit and that's what your LH tests are :) If you're only cycle day 3 or so it might be too early for you to start them though!

My follicular phase was short last cycle ( 8 days) so I'm hoping it will be longer this time but will start doing OPKs just in case! I don't want to miss it if my FP is tiny again :)

@MissC07 totally get how you're feeling with worried about fertile week and OH. I had a surprise positive OPK this month earlier than anticipated, and so pretty much demanded we DTD that eve to OH. He doesn't have the highest sex drive and was feeling tired that day already, and it stressed him massively and he couldn't perform either. Then I got frustrated and upset that we couldn't DTD perfectly timed in FW. We had a long talk about it and I realised how much I'm putting my TTC stress onto him and I need to chill out about everything. In his words 'I'm not a performing seal!' and 'our relationship is more important than perfectly timed sex'. We ended up DTD the next morning after an emotional 12hours as we both felt more relaxed about things then.
So now I am trying not to stress so much about timings etc, and just relax about the whole thing as he definitely picks up on my stress.
Not sure if this is helpful to you, just wanted to let you know you're not alone as this really upset me when it happened at the weekend.

@ElizabethP141 I had a really light first AF off the pill as well. I hear it's normal, and things should slowly revert to normal (although may take a few months). I don't think a light AF has an effect on chances of conceiving though - or at least, fingers crossed it doesn't!

@TheDaydreamBelievers yay! where in your cycle are you now? here's to hoping the whole higher chance of conceiving after an MC is true!

@abi555 I get what your OH is saying but I think I'd still be upset. It just shows how secondary/passive they are to this whole process I think. In contrast, one of my male friends would have a period tracker on his phone with his wife's details on it so he could be on it for FW. Meanwhile with my OH I could probably get to 5 months pregnant before he'd think to ask how TTC is going lol.

I find most OHs involvement in TTC woefully inadequate tbh. 90% of them seem to have no inclination to learn any of it themselves, don't check in on when you think you might be ovulating, when you will be testing etc. When we were 6 cycles in and I was starting to get worried it wasn't happening - my OH thought we were maybe 2 cycles in! Not to mention he seems to have zero clue why I get upset when AF shows....

Gah don't mind me, just wishing I had an OH that had more emotional intelligence than a goldfish!

@Juno231 talking of emotional intelligence with OHs mine is a right miserable shit this morning FFS, not sure why they say women and confusing we have hormones...men are just fucking wierd 😂

@Juno231 got a peak OPK and temp went up this morning, so hopefully this is ovualtion time .

Its interesting, I showed my DH the OPK this morning then immediately thought ooh perhaps that's putting a lot of pressure on tonight maybe I shouldn't have showed him but... you know what f-that. He wants a baby just as much as I do and he knows that we are having sex both cause we are attracted to each other AND to conceive. I already have to do all the tests, why should I be alone with the cognitive and emotional bits too?

@TheDaydreamBelievers yes!! exactly that! Like OH at one point last summer freaked cause I forgot my (empty!) wee cup on the sink. And I told him to man the hell up, at least he's not the one to have to dip wee sticks a million times a month to make this baby so he should just be grateful!

Bang it out asap btw! Did you manage to get any in the run up too?

My OH is pretty useless too. He would rather I just never talked about it, and he thinks I'm completely nuts taking all the supplements that I take. When AF turned up last he said he was upset too... but that was because we couldn't DTD for a few days - haha! Cheeky F*!

My OPK this morning was very light... so my body has stopped any LH surge it was attempting. Sigh. I just want AF to come now. CD31... my latest Ov was CD35, so my body might try again yet! Urgh!

Amen sisters! I was talking about the exact same to my boyfriend yesterday when having a little rant. He shows very little interest in the science behind it all. So lax. It grinds my gears tbh. It seems most people on here have similar experiences with their partners, so hopefully no one thinks I am making sweeping statements.

Also bored at the suggestion that I am being over the top buying OPKs, pregnacare etc. It's not OTT at all. Folic acid is so important! And what's the point in TTC if you're doing it on the wrong days?!

Last week I asked why he doesn't take any supplements. The retort was "I don't need them!", which shortly changed to "tell me what I need and I'll take them". 🙄 here's an idea, try this thing called google. It's got loads of info on it! 🤣 Rant over!!
