@kay00 Nope! Just random nonsense. I'm basically just chilling (and eating xmas chocolate) until AF shows post MMC. Doing temps just to get into routine, but waking times are all over the place and theres alcohol etc in the mix too!

Hope you have lots of cosy blankets to warn off the chill!

@abi555 I’ve been there believe me, I’ve even spoke to the doctor because it’s been so long I’m on CD 124 according to my Femometer app (I think I miscalculated previously and was counting how many days late I was not CD) not sure if that beats some of the crazy long records in here but blummin close got everything crossed I’m on the right path now

It’s tricky I got a peak which is great but not confirmed with BBT but with it being Christmas times have been a bit everywhere so I’ve been adjusting them and alcohol etc in the mix too, just gunna trust the OPKs and keep BD in the mean time and see what happens

@abi555 forgot to mention I started the seven seas ‘trying for a baby’ at the start of December - no idea if this has helped my body level things out or not or whether it’s just a coincidence but I’ve read good things about them so worth a shot if you’re not already taking anything

@Robyn101 really hope this is ovulation for you and AF will come soon! Mine was 141 days from withdrawal bleed to first AF and I really hope you dont get to that stage!

@thedaydreambelievers ah good. You're doing the right thing (re chocolate and booze 😉) although I agree tracking is harder with the late nights, booze and mountains of roast potatoes. I keep meaning to do OPKs but im just forgetting! Hoping I catch my peak in next week or so.

@robyn101 😳 that is a crazy long cycle!

@KGH5121 fingers crossed for you - that could be an implantation dip so probably nothing to be concerned about at this stage?!

@abi555 I know what you mean, I feel like I’ve been waiting a lifetime for something to happen. I think our bodies do a lot of weird things when we come off the pill but hopefully sore boobs are a sign that things are starting to happen

@MintGreenLife that sounds really exciting, I think a lot about being able to tell my family we’re expecting and how we’d do it!

So I had my peak OPK yesterday, did one again this morning and got a low reading again. I didn’t have a temp spike this morning but have had what I think might be ovulation pains - like a dull ache on my right side near my hip? So wondering if I could be ovulating today and might have a temp spike tomorrow.

Hope everyone has had a nice day today, I’ve spent it stuffing my face with all the leftover Christmas food and booze..!

@Robyn101 blimey 124 days is long! I have everything crossed for you that this is it now!! I have started taking the seven seas (possible you - thanks!) after someone suggested it on here so hopefully they will help

I've actually been measuring my temps for the past 7 days just to try and get in to the habit so that when AF finally turns up I can hit the first cycle running so to speak and know what I'm doing. All my temps have been over 36.6 for the past 7 days.... I'm now wondering (/desperately hoping!) that it may mean I've already ovulated as have read the first half of cycle prior to ovulation usually has temps 36.5. All my OPK's have been the starkest of white however so it's probably just me grabbing at straws. Anyone think I may be on to something and have just missed a peak on OPK's??
If so, I suppose I'll know in a week or so as hopefully AF will arrive.... Just need to be patient....! (something I am not good at!)

@Kay00 omg your thermostat is gone?! Jesus I hope your house is well insulated and that you're not in an area that got snow this week!! Also do get the abcess sorted, dental stuff always freaks me out as it's connected to heart health isn't it 😅.

I've managed to drain the cyst tonight (gross, I know - I'm sorry!) so it should heal over the next couple of days and hopefully won't be painful for FW now!

@Juno231 cyst sounds painful!! Glad you've managed to drain it however; you're braver than I would have been!

@Mol234 that pain sounds really positive for ovulation! fingers crossed for you!

@abi555 I think you could be right on the temp front, they definitely sound more like LP temps. I don’t think I’ve been in my LP phase since I came off the pill as I haven’t ovulated and all my temps are around 35.9-36. Hopefully, will be nice for AF to arrive so you know where you’re at. Never thought I’d pray for a period like I have done in the past few months!!

@Kay00 I feel your pain with the thermostat, our boiler broke at about this time 2 years ago, we had to wait 2 weeks for them to fit a new one 🥶 old house as well so next to zero insulation!

Did anybody hit the boxing day sales? Well I got peer pressured into going and BBC midlands only turned up and there was me and my friend at the front of a huge que for lush, the woman from BBC came up and asked me if i wanted to be on BBC midlands today! I was like nooooooooooo! 😂

@chinchilly haha... almost had your 15 minutes of fame 😆 nope... im avoiding the shops, but arranging meals out to help prop up the local economy 😁

@juno231 well done, best to drain and keep clean to avoid infection. Is your FW approaching soon?

Nope, my house has zero insulation and sash windows that are so drafty when closed the curtains blow in the wind 🙄 luckily I have several hot water bottles!

I'll certainly get on to a dentist next week... didn't know about the link to heart health 😳

I’ll be very close @thedaydreambelievers if ovulation is predicted correct I’ll be around the 138 after my TWW just hoping it’s right!

Haha tell me about it @kay00 and @abi555 it’s felt like a complete lifetime but I was on the pill solidly for 15 years after being put on as a young teenager with ridiculously heavy periods. I don’t actually think my body knows what a normal cycle is or looks like so makes sense it’s taking it’s sweet time to learn

@mols234 I haven’t had a major temp spike either I don’t think - although I’m not overly confident on temping yet or what I’m looking for, attached a pic so you can see what mines up too, I got my peak on 26th so a very mini jump up. Fingers crossed we’re both getting there

The cyst gets better now

Morning all! So I had a temp rise from 36.05 yesterday to 36.23 today just need to hope it continues to rise over next few days and that means ovulation happened. Anyone else have low LP temps? Just wonder whether it’s a sign of low progesterone or not?

My FP temps have obviously been low but not sure exactly what to expect from my LP temps I hope they get high enough to confirm ovulation

@Kay00 you’re right definitely missed out on my 15 mins of fame there 😂😂 no meals out for us I’m afraid still in tier 3...tier 4 pending I think!

@Moocher90 hmm I’m not sure to be honest as I haven’t been in my LP yet but my understanding is that it’s all kinda relative so hopefully nothing to worry about. I think best to see what happens over the next few days

So I still haven’t had a temp rise today, in fact it’s a temp drop. Either I’m ovulating today or my body was playing tricks on me with the peak OPK. How are you get turn on @Robyn101?

I’ve got a docs appointment for New Year’s Eve and am going to push my doctor to do some tests. Even though it’s only been 3.5 months I’m starting to get a bit down with nothing happening!

I'm TTC baby no2. After stopping the pill I'm now day 107 with no sign of a period and starting to go slightly mad lol. Tempted to try Agnus cactus but it's such a worry as it's says not to use when TTC!? Any thoughts? X

@ChinChilly haha, that's hilarious, nearly famous!! I was accidentally on the news after the first lockdown ended and BBC were filming in soho and hubby and I accidentally wandered past the camera. We were actually trying to get away from the crowds as it suddenly got really busy, but it looked like we were part of them and I was so embarrassed to have been in the shot!

@Moocher90 your temp rise sounds promising! fingers crossed it continues!

@Mol234 fingers crossed you are ovulating - and good news you have a doc appt, I think worthwhile asking if you can have some bloods at least. I've made a promise to myself to go in the new year as well if still nothing by then

Question - has anyone experienced ovulation bleeding? Had random spotting on 18th and was looking at my diary last night and suddenly wondered if that could be why? My temps are still high, but as I've only just started temp-ing I don't really know if I can interpret it as in the LP phase, or whether it's just a 'the pill has screwed up my body thing'. Also had a weird temp dip 48hrs ago that I managed to convince myself at 2am was an implantation dip and now in the cold light of morning I think I might just be going mad and getting ridiculously over-excited as a newbie temp-er (or just doing temp-ing all wrong, which also could explain it!) Have attached my chart so far in case anyone has a brainwave.

Sigh. Feel like I'm already over-analysing EVERYTHING and I haven't even had my first AF. Totally prepared for this TTC journey to be a long one, but didn't realise it would involve so much mental energy. Muchos respect for all you ladies that have been playing this game for longer!

@Y1986 I looked into it but read that you shouldn't use it if still waiting for first AF after stopping pill. Not sure how true that is, but I was worried about messing with my cycle any further.
Saying that, it's something I might consider if AF doesn't show up within another month or two.
Some other ladies here I think have tried it though so you may get more info from them

Hello all! Hope everyone had a good Christmas! Was wondering if I can join? I've been following this thread for awhile but finally got the courage to post.

I came off the pill in February, started properly ttc in June with OPKs and BBT. But my cycles were all over the place and very long, often 60-80 days. But they have slowly been getting shorter each time now and I think they just taking a really long time to get back to normal after being on the pill. I ovulated cd22 last cycle which I was really happy about, but I ended up having a chemical pregnancy. When I saw that BFP I had already planned on how to tell my parents at Christmas, but 5 days later I started bleeding with a negative test so it wasn't to be. So now trying again and currently on cd18 waiting to ovulate again.

@abi555 have you thought about taking a pregnancy test? Given your temps have stayed high and you’re not sure when you ovulated, it may be worth doing!! Completely agree about the mental energy when TTC - I wasn’t really expecting this to be honest, I always had regular periods before the pill so naively thought I’d probably be pg within 3 months!! It will happen it’ll just take time, and I don’t know about you but I’m quite an impatient person!

@Y1986 hey welcome! I actually bought some Angus castus but decided to not take it. Like you I’m still waiting for AF so was tempted, but worried it would mess with my hormones even more and just want them to settle down.

@Flowers222 welcome! Really sorry to hear about your chemical pg 😞 hope you’re ok. It’s good to hear your cycles started to eventually settle after coming off the pill, hopefully things go back to normal for you fairly soon

Hey @Mol234 so mines not showing a major spike but I know it’s weird with BBT and you only know after the fact a few days later when the graphs make sense so hopefully it will become clear for you.

Weirdly I’ve had another peak reading this morning - stronger than the one 2 days ago 😅 I think I must have tried to ovulate and wasn’t successful so it’s trying again - it’s certainly trying to do something which I see as progress

Mine went like this
26th / Peak OPK reading - 36.32
27th / High OPK reading - 36.16
28th / Peak OPK reading - 36.30
29th / New predicted ovulation

The app I use has now changed my ovulation from 27th to tomorrow based on my newest OPK reading (this is all as clear as mud!)

Definitely a good idea with the doctors, I know mine was absolutely useless but hopefully yours pays more attention, I’m going to wait this out and see if I’ve actually ovulated because hopefully that will spark something
