Ovulating between Christmas and new year's

I just thought I would start a thread for those of us that are ovulating over the festive period.... let's make it go with a swing 🥂.

I am trying for DC2, anyone else care to join me? I'm due to ovulate on the 30th.

Me! TTC our first, we "tried" last month when I got my implant removed however I've just had AF so starting for cycle 1. Ovulation due on the 30th

Hi! I'm due to ovulate any where from Christmas to the middle of Jan (my body is a little random like that) 😆 whatever happens I plan to relax in hot baths, eat cheese, selfish and pate and drink plenty of alcohol 🍸 😜

@Amijustagrump getting the practise in is important. I love the TTC bit 😂.

@kay00 first time around, I was dead paranoid, stopped drinking, etc. Second time around not so much! This will be my third attempt to TTC, I lost a pregnancy earlier in the year.

I just hope its fast but also trying to stay realistic! I'm 23 and DP is 26 so we do have time on our side but still nervous. I fell pregnant back in 2018 but this will be our first!

Same I’m CD10 but not sure exactly when I will ovulate could be anytime between CD14 and CD21 or if body plays tricks then later 😂😂

Me! Currently on CD 12 and usually ovulate CD 17-20. Hoping for some good luck, it's our third cycle TTC #2, first cycle was a PUL (very scary) that resolved itself and second was a chemical.

Hey! I am hoping I will ovulate around the 31st! Currently CD13, I'm a bit irregular but last couple of cycles I've ovulated between CD21-28. Though my last cycle resulted in a chemical so not sure if that will mess up my cycle this time.

I am certainly looking forward to eating and drinking all the things I shouldn't over Christmas, I've been so good since June when we started TTC and after last month's disappointment feel like I need to let loose a bit! BFPs for us all in the new year would be an amazing start to the year 😊

I’ll jump in! Should ovulate some where around 28th but who knows, my body is pretty random. 🤷🏻‍♀️ - trying something a bit different this month though and going to try and regularly DTD BEFORE ovulation so there’s lots of swimmers hanging around in there ready and waiting 😂 - will see how that works out! looking forward to being able to eat and drink anything / as much as I like and not having to worry. Christmas Day ovulation here. Seem to be bang on track as well. Had a scan today and dominant follicle is 17.5mm and another one 16mm on left ovary.

Hoping for a Christmas conception. Good luck all x

Hello, I am CD13 of cycle 4 of TTC.
I still plan to enjoy a drink and some yummy food before, fingers crossed, I don't get to for a while!

@ErrolFinn looks like we are both on the same CD.

So we tried DTD for the first time this cycle today during DS's nap and it was a bit of a disaster. We do SMEP and I'm not sure he landed any sperm in me 🙈. Hopefully everyone else is getting on better.

Me. I’m cycle day 10 and first cycle of ttc. Nervous and just seeing how it goes. Don’t want to get too obsessed early on.

@soughsigh oh dear, at least if you are not due to ovulate for a few days you still have time to try again!

All quiet here. Still getting low on OPKs but not due to ovulate for a few days yet so still time. MIL has left now so at least don't have to worry about dtd sneakily with her around 😂

@Flowers222 my cycles are a bit erratic, but I'm only on day 12 so I'm not that worried, just annoyed that neither of us got what we wanted out of it. I love TTC sex 😳

@French2020 I have conceived 2 babies without doing a single OPK or taking a basal temp, we just DTD every 2 days in the fertile week. Both times we have only DTD 3 times in the cycle and concieved second cycle.

I think I ovulated yesterday (CD11) or Christmas Eve (CD10). Had a temp increase on CD11.

We DTD CD7, 8, 9, 11 and 12. Most DTD we’ve ever done and I’m knackered!

I would love to join! I think I ovulated today, first cycle of TTC DC2. Feeling excited but nervous but excited but nervous, ahhh!

@monday55 :-( hang in there, it could happen any month. I have been reading some older threads where it has taken some women 1year+ to conceive and it seems really normal. Our chances are catching in any given month are pretty low so there is a lot of luck involved. 🤞🤞 this is your cycle!

I actually got a LH surge this morning (I think, am a bit new to all this!) so guessing I will be ovulating tomorrow or the day after.
Will be great to share the two week wait with others!

Temp dip this morning, hoping it goes back up tomorrow. Might be a fall back rise or trying to ovulate and had failed ovulation a couple of days ago
