I’m really hoping I’m just panicking for no reason but I have a horrible feeling I’m infertile (based on nothing physical that I know of). We have been TTC for 3 months (I know not long at all). My cycles are usually very regular and the past 3 have been 27/28 days with positive opk on day 14 after 4-6 days of “high fertility” (clear blue advanced digital). On my last cycle I had a random bleed for an evening on day 23 then nothing. I thought maybe implantation but the blood was quite pinky red. Did a pregnancy test on day 27 (FRER) and got a bfn. Then af arrived on day 28 - normal length, slightly lighter than usual but definitely bleeding. Decided to focus on going into cycle 4 and got another set of opk sticks for the reader and tested today (day 8) and got peak fertility straight away...this has never happened this early and it makes me think something is definitely wrong with me :-( (had investigations in the past and don’t have anything like PCOS etc) is this just an odd cycle do you think or something more? Am gutted as won’t see my OH till Monday now due to work and his time off was due to hit my fertile window perfectly for lots of DTD but now I think we might have missed the opportunity this cycle. Sorry this is so long just keen to hear anyone’s thoughts or experiences x

Have you tried a pregnancy test since your lighter af? I know ovulation strips can also pick up hcg hormone so it might be worth testing. But also I had a fair few dodgy cycles, I think it can be the stress of ttc!

I haven’t...I just assumed that because I’d had the bfn and period there was no way I could be. Ridiculous isn’t it - perfectly normal cycles until a few months in to TTC 🙈

I'd rule out pregnancy before looking at anything else. Not uncommon to have a period at the vert start of pregnancy x

@hels301990 I was exactly the same had perfect cycles before ttc then I'd have random short and long ones it was very frustrating! I'd deffo take a pregnancy test to rule it out. Good luck 😊

Sounds like you might be pregnant OP. Do a test xx

It's so easy to say don't worry but I've been there. You hear of every Dom dick and Sally falling pregnant in their first month trying or by accident, and a month feels like an eternity.

My cycle was super regularly down to the hour ! Until I started TTC, it's like my body knew and started doing random things like a random 37 day cycle when I'm always 28. Fell pregnant after 6m but sadly miscarried at 10 weeks. Got pregnant 3m later and dd was born in the summer.

I was proper tracking everything and really focused on ttc the first 6m - I was obsessed. After the mc I just had sex with my partner when we wanted to because we wanted to, rather than baby dancing around peak ov. I was so so much more relaxed and I think that's why I conceived so quick (that's not to say people who are struggling to are doing so because they're stressed, just sharing my experience!)

Honestly try and chill and not focus on it or doing tests etc. Just have fun as it's early days yet.

Wish you all the luck in the world x
