This month we tried conceive plus - the internal applicator version. Has anyone got any success stories .. or not.. of using it?

Hi there, used this last month but no luck - used the applicator version. Think I might have mis-timed ovulation last month though. Used pre-seed this month (you get a tube and several applicators- cost more but I think more value for money) and timed perfectly but no luck :( I hear good things but then I think you might only hear the success stories!

We used the pregnecare conceive tablets fir myself and my husband xx

Bigbenishere · 20/12/2020 21:18

@SEpoppet That’s what I’m wondering, if it’s only success stories that you can see. There’s pages after pages of them. Are you using OPKs? How long have you been trying for? xx

@lambo88 How long did it take you to conceive? I’m taking the seven seas one but I might try the pregnacare, thank you xx

Bigbenishere · 20/12/2020 21:56

@Bigbenishere about 5 months. But the month I did I also got my iron levels up to normal so that couldve contributed too!

SEpoppet · 20/12/2020 22:08

@Bigbenishere been trying four months, have also been taking pregnacare vits and DH has been taking the 'man's version' too. Used OPKs the first 3 months but tbh I would say they stressed me out too much. The month I was talking about where I mis-timed I kept getting strong readings that would go away and come back again! I get pretty strong ovulation pains so am just trying to BD lots around that time and stay chilled! Easier said than done... have you been trying long? Always interested to know how long it is taking everyone else although I know you shouldn't compare x

Bigbenishere · 20/12/2020 22:31

Oh possibly? My iron has been low for a long time and never thought about that. I might try using the conceive plus every other month then if it worked the month you didn't use it!
We've been trying since august. I think it was early august I stopped the pill but I can't remember exactly, so that's 4-5 months? I'm 32. There's months where we didn't time it great but this month I thought we had timed it well but I'm pretty sure I'm getting PMS symptoms Sad

@Bigbenishere I didn't know but apparently low ferritin is connected to not being able to concieve so it's maybe worth at least getting it sorted! If nothing it will make you feel more energised. We were trying for a year...I'm 29. I found the clear blue digital opks were also a big help!

SEpoppet · 20/12/2020 22:43

You never know, early pregnancy symptoms can be very similar! Good luck - at least this month you can have a drink and enjoy xmas if it doesnt work out x

I think I'll book in to see if I can get my levels checked, thank you! I was anaemic a year or so ago and my hair started to fall out. I got prescribed tablets but they made me feel so rotten I only took them until my levels rose to borderline and stopped. I'm meant to get my levels checked every so often but cos of COVID like everything else I haven't had them checked since early this year x

I'll have a look at those OPK's! I'm using some easy@home ones from Amazon and they're ok but clearly haven't been much help so far! x

Thank you! Daffodil I'm due on just after Christmas so I can't decide whether to test early so I can have a drink or just assume it's worked this month, and not bother! x

@Bigbenishere erm I think 8 weeks before (can't remember exactly as it was in 2017) but we managed to conceive on the 2nd month of trying...I had no idea when I was ovulating either and didn't want to rely on the ovulation apps so I brought the clear blue ovulating tests that show up a smiley face when u are so there's no mistaking the right time...I continued to take the pregnecare original I think it was in an orange box all through my pregnancy and never had any problems xx

Sophielou8 · 21/12/2020 19:44

We used the normal lube version and fell pregnant in the 1st month of using it.. I’m now 27 weeks along x
