We DTD on the morning I got my first high OPK and the 2 days following. Reading online we should have maybe done the 2 days before too? (See chart - hearts are days DTD) did we time it wrong?

You should be okay :) looks like you dtd a few days before as well? Remember that sperm can live up to 5 days in ideal circumstances :) fingers crossed for you!

Yes it was a few days before I got the positive OPK. Fingers crossed! Thank you x

Sperm lives for a week but the egg only lasts 24 hours, so it's easy to miss ovulation doing what you're doing. I'd say the best approach is to start from a week before you ovulate (normally just after your period) and DTD every other day until a few days after positive OPK - that gives you the best chance of having good quantities of fresh sperm at the point when you ovulate, and reduces the risk of missing out entirely if you ovulate earlier than expected and miss the LH surge.

@UnaOfStormhold thank you. We kind of did that but probably not as often as we should’ve. It’s a minefield! I think next month I might just go with the flow and right down my period due date in a diary but delete all the apps. It was starting to affect DP so I stopped telling him when I got positive OPK’s but it’s getting me down a bit too now x
