Hi All,

Just need a little advice if anyone has been through this, currently 11 days late for AF, done 3 HPT and all BFN. Have been TTC and have had a few symptoms, extreme tiredness, nausea, lower back pain, more frequent urine, also thick clear discharge (sorry for TMI) has anyone been through this and had a positive outcome?😞

Do you know when you ovulated? And if so how was ovulation confirmed?

I'm not sure... I'm new to all this I'm not sure how to know when ovulating or how to test for it😖

Not a problem! Smile The only reason I asked is that AF arrives relative to the date you ovulate.

Most people have a luteal phase (length of time after ovulation) of 12-14 days. So for most people, AF arrives 12-14 days after they ovulate if they've not conceived.

If you have ovulated late then you won't be 11 days late, which would also mean you are still in with a chance of a BFP from this cycle Smile. Good luck!

Just tried another internet cheapy strip BFN!

Just wondering, are they all the internet cheapy strips? Might be worth getting a decent test. You can get false negatives but bit false positives.

I did 3 Asda brand ones and was sick of paying £3.50 each time and getting BFN so bought some internet cheap ones but also have got a clear blue digital one just wondering if I should do it tomorrow or wait a few days now...Confused

What are your periods usually like? Are you in a regular cycle pattern?

For testing, I wouldn't have the patience to wait, but if you have the finances to buy another then I'd use it. But then the asda ones should be accurate.

My period is always late but only up to around 5 days, going to stop testing now for a week or so because it is so hard getting these negatives...Sad

As I mentioned above, there's a chance you're not late at all if you ovulated later than usual.

It's also possible you're experiencing an annovulatory cycle where you don't ovulate at all. Unless you have any symptoms that worry you then unfortunately you'll probably just have to wait it out.

lostfrequencies · 22/12/2020 19:48

Have you started any new medication this month? Even TTC tablets can mess with cycles.

Is that very random because I've never experienced not having a period? Can it just happen at any point?

I feel you! I am 6 days late for AF and 16 DPO and have tested every other day for 2 days before AF was due and all negative. I came off the pill end of September, had a withdrawal bleed in October and my AF was on time as normal in November so I'm not sure whats happening - very annoying!!

Ladies it sounds like you have recently come off the pill?? If so then all online and dr advice says that it can take months for your periods to regulate. So your period is not late you just may be experiencing longer cycles whilst your body takes time to regulate itself post pill. Having read into this myself when coming off the pill a lot of articles indicate that it can take 6 months for your cycles to become regular. So that would be why you haven't had a period but are still getting negative tests.

Hopefully it regualtes soon or you get your BFP. Good Luck.

Morning! Whilst this can be true, that information is very dependent on what type of pill taken. I've been told by doctors that the pill I was on was one of the lowest kinds and that I can technically get pregnant at any point once stopping Smile

I'm in the same boat! Now 5 days late and 18dpo (confirmed with positive opk's). Very strange for me as I'm regular as clockwork. BFN on 8,10,12,17dpo

How frustrating! I've lost all hope of a BFP now though Envy
