birthing partners and COVID-19

I am wondering what people's experience of giving birth in COVID has been like. Are birthing partners aloud (I am going to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital) but any information will be helpful. I am anxious about not having my partner with me due to having a negative past pregnancy.

News today has confirmed a blanket change in how NHS is dealing with pregnancy across the entirety of England/UK. Partners or 1 other person is allowed with you through the entire process. Every appointment and during birth. Great news for anybody that is currently pregnant or trying.
