I’m TTC our second baby.

First time I came off pill when I decided to conceive and I used the digital ovulation tests and pretty quickly I got peak and had sex the once and was pregnant. So didn’t even have a period after coming off pill.

I came off pill and had my bleed on 30th November.
I started testing last weekend for ovulation and haven’t had a high or peak. The app says I’m fertile now but I’m confused as to when I should take the tests and if it is possible to still get pregnant of I TTC now?
Today I have been having cramps, sore boobs and feel like crap. App says I’m ovulating today but tests are coming back negative?

What should I do? Anyone else in similar situation?

@dominiquegriffin the app won't have a clue - it's literally guessing based on an average cycle and won't have any data on what your cycles are normally like. Coming off the pill it can take a while for your body to go back to normal, even if you say it went quickly last time. All you can do now is test daily and hope to catch your peak - BUT:

  • It's not uncommon to have LH peaks and not actually ovulate when straight off the pill
  • be aware your cycles might be wonky for a while and be extra long so testing daily might not be feasible
  • the only way for you to know if you've ovulated is if you track your temperature. Maybe not something that interests you just yet but if you find not knowing when you ovulated is driving you crazy then you know what the next step is!
