Never had egg white cm

I pretty much never have any discharge until about a week before my period and when I do it is dry, white and sticky. I have checked my cervix since ttc 10-11 months ago and i have never had any cervical mucus that slightly resembled egg whites. It's always just been wet and slippery if I rub it between my fingers, but never stretchy. There also isn't much on my fingers, just enough to coat them (as if it's normal vaginal lubrication) and not leave any excess, if that makes sense. Can this be perfectly normal or does it sound like something underlying like hostile cervical mucus:( (I'm not asking for a diagnosis). I just thought I would of been able to see egg white cm and it would distinctively resemble egg whites. Can you still be ovulating/able to get pregnant without egg white cm?

Do not stress AT ALL. I never have EWCM and have fallen pregnant easily twice.

When I was first TTC I looked into it and found two helpful articles that said:

  1. Some women only get wet fertile CM and never get egg white but this isn't a problem.
  1. If you're ovulating regularly then there is almost certainly no problem with your CM.
  1. Better to track with OPKs and BBT as CM can be confusing.
  1. It reallt only matters whats inside your cervix and you're never going to know what's inside anyway!

I feel quite evangelical about this as it really stressed me out and it was a total waste of mental effort.

X

I have an issue with CM too. Been TTC for 19 months now. Usually if I'm checking my Cervix I had get a little bit but never a lot and never EWCM. I was also having short LP phases and spotting from about 9dpo. I read that hormone imbalances can cause lack of CM so I recently started taking vitamin C and vitamin B6 and my CM definitely improved. This month I added Maca root and CoQ10 and my CM improved even more, I had higher libido and my cervical position during fertile week was high and soft, I could barely reach it and was so soft it almost blended into the wall. I've never had that in alll my months of TTC so I definitely feel as though the supplements are helping ☺️ just incase I do also use preseed with BD because your body needs CM to help the sperm get to where it needs to be. Good luck with your journey TTC ☺️✨

@Unicornsparklez Thank you ☺️ I'm using fertility lubricant at the minute with good reviews on it to see if that helps. I'll definitely look into taking them supplements! Good luck to you ☺️x

I would also recommend using Evening Primrose Oil @Hayes178 it really helps! Only up until ovulation though x

I never got any either and I am a mummy now.

I did end up using pre seed lubricant which I think helped.

Good luck! 🤞

Just popping in to say I never had it either until I started taking 2000mg of evening primrose oil daily in my FP and I get plenty of it every cycle now! Might be worth a shot?
