Hi I was wondering if anyone had any experience of what's happening with me AF is now 3 weeks late my BBT has remained elevated I've been getting mild cramping and took numerous have all have been BFN something just feels off with me. I'm not stressed and no major weight changes its driving me mad. I went to my GP on Thursday they did urine test which again was BFN but they're reluctant to carry out any examinations until I do another test next week which no doubt will turn out to be yet another BFN. We werent actively TTC but I did come off the pill in February before the world was swept with madness so we did know there was a chance I could fall pregnant. Its driving me absolutely mad!

Could you post your bbt chart by any chance? Spontaneously I'd say you haven't ovulated yet or ovulated very late this cycle. An LP of 3 weeks isn't possible and you're clearly not pregnant based on the tests so maybe you're just having a random long cycle - it happens!

It's only really been the last month or so I've started keeping track of BBT mainly because something was feeling not right. We do monitor our temps at work most days though and I tend to hover around 36.6 (although we do this mid morning so not completely accurate) I had what I suspected was a very faint BFP on a Frer on Wednesday but in hindsight I'm now leaning more towards that being an evap

Also that line for ovulation only appeared this morning when I put my BBT in

Those temps look too consistent to me, I don't know anyone that gets the same every day, also bbt really needs to be as you first wake at the same time before anything else to be accurate- otherwise other things in life will impact it- a warm cup of tea, a cold glass of water.

Also consider your thermometer, readings like that might mean that it's not working.!

wrensandrobins · 12/12/2020 22:35

Just realised temps are all rounding to the nearest 10 is it a bbt thermometer? If it is I think it might be broken? Unless you are rounding up or down?

Haylbop · 12/12/2020 22:38

I have 2 thermometers they give the same readings as each other I started checking with the second when I hit 37 as I never normally read anywhere over 36.8

It's a digital oral one and yes it does round to the nearest 10

Oh sorry and the charted temps were all done 1st thing before getting out of bed. I just me at over the last 6 months we do work checks and they're usually around 36.6 I've not added those ones onto the graph at all. I'll be honest I didn't know there was thermometers that measured to 2 decimal places Xmas Blush

To track BBT you need a thermometer that will give you a xx.xx, for example 36.41 as tiny variations really matter.

I assume there have been no major changes to your health, weight etc?

Haylbop · 13/12/2020 10:42

Hi there no ther have be no changes in weight diet or exercise at all I'm not stressed well at least I wasn't until Google informed me of perimenopause, PCOS and whole host of other delightful conditions. My GP asked me to take another hpt next Thursday as she said it may have been too early to be picked up. At this point though I'd be looking at being around 6 weeks so pretty certain I'd be getting bfps by now
