Positive opk two days in a row?

Hope someone can help me with this! Really confused about opks. Got gradual darkening of tests day before yesterday then positive yesterday. Today it still seems positive? So when is it likely I'll ovulate? Thank you!

4th test down is what looks like a full on positive and that was yesterday. Bottom two were done today

Hello, I'm no expert but to me your fourth one down looks like your peak which would mean you ovulate 12-48 (normally 24) hours later.
I found the premom app is really good (and free) you can upload your test strips and it will tell you your ovulation date based on those. Plus you can add your symptoms and your temp if you check your BBT too 😊

Forgot to say keep testing as sometimes your body can try and ovulate but fail so it tries again afterwards so definitely monitor those strips

@Ladybird345 thank you!!
I didn't know that about possibly trying and failing! I only kept testing today because I'm addicted - I've never kept testing after a positive before. But good job I did! Not checking temps or anything so only going from these. Is it normal to still have positives the day after a peak?does lh stay high for a while? And is it 12-24 hours after the peak or after first positive? It's all so confusing!!

I've posted a link which I found really helpful to read. I've also posted my last cycle's positive tests which are similar to yours. I peaked one day and then carried on having positive tests the day after until they disappeared. I also do temp checks (but these are more confusing to read). Ovulation is 12-48 hours after your peak.
There are a few ways to ensure you are giving your body the best chance to conceive (all from different experts) either have sex every other day throughout the month or as much sex as possible during all your fertile window or have sex the day before your peak, the day of your peak and the day after. Sperm survives for up to five days so it's best to make sure it's there before you release your egg 😊

When I was using OPK's I used to get a positive for at least 2, if not 3 days. I never really understood why or accurately knew when I ovulated but was very fortunate to conceive my children so it obviously didn't make much difference. Just keep regularly dtd & that should give you the best chance Smile

Ladybird345 · 13/12/2020 19:49

How have you got on today with your opks 😊

Alicia870 · 13/12/2020 22:15

@Ladybird345 thanks for checking in!
Well this morning I used fmu and got an almost positive again which was really annoying! So I took one middle of day and it was very faint. So I took that to be good.
Then did another one just to make sure and it looked like this! I know this isn't positive but thought the line would be faded off now if the surge is gone! Am
I over thinking it ? Just keep wondering if I haven't actually ovulated at all!

Hello, that sounds perfectly normal. After your surge your levels will go back down. The test on the photo is negative which is exactly as it should be after you've ovulated. We always have LH in our system so your opks will always show a second line 😊
It's really hard not to get too into the tests, we are TTC for our third and I still panic about not DTD enough around ovulation time. With our first it took ten months to conceive but our second was literally the first time after coming off the pill so try and relax as much as possible and keep trying to think positive 😊

Thanks @Ladybird345 ! Will probably stop doing opks now. What's done is done!
We lost a baby a little boy over 5 months along earlier in the year. He was my second after a completely perfect pregnancy first time with my daughter. Then have had another loss since then so I'm super anxious. What I learnt after the second loss, which was early, is not to test too soon so I will just be waiting to see if af arrives and test if not.
Good luck to you :) thanks for all your help
