Digital test multiple errors!?

Does anyone have any experience using digital pregnancy tests? I had x2 boots and x2 clear blue early digital tests that I had been saving up to use at some point...my LP has been quite short so not had chance to test yet. Got to 11dpo today so decided to test and I have managed to get the booklet error sign on all 4!! Followed the instructions for using a sample exactly as the leaflets said, even timed the seconds....anyway not only have I thrown 25 quid down the drain but none the wiser and confused as to why none worked. I had some cheap tests and just tried one and I think a faint line has come up. Anyone have any ideas? Is this positive or yet another error? Confused Any help appreciated!

I'm sorry to hear about the digitals. But that cheapie is definitely positive! Congratulations!

@Curiosity101 oh thank you! A relief to know I am not going mad! I will not be buying any digital tests in future.

@Catmum55566 The irony is they're meant to take the guesswork out of knowing if you're pregnant or not! 🙈

Congratulations again! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

Exactly! Thank you for taking the time to reply Smile

How are you doing them? Are you sticking them in midstream pee or dipping in a pot of pee? Seems weird to get book errors on different brands unless (forgive me) your method is wonky.

Catmum55566 · 12/12/2020 21:37

Dipping in a sample. It said dip in for 20 seconds and then lay the test flat, which is what I did using my phone timer. I thought I might be doing something wrong but after reading the instructions couldn't work out what....the thing is they all did the working simple and then went to the booklet error symbol after a minute. On the very last one I only did it for abiut 10 seconds as I stopped when I saw the working symbol come on but same result. Maybe you are supposed to use it midstream instead?! Who knows!?

That’s so weird. Maybe you dipped too deeply or not deep enough?

Catmum55566 · 12/12/2020 22:17

I know it is odd. I tried to dip about halfway. I even got DH to 'supervise' me doing the last 2 because by then I was getting so frustrated like it was some weird puzzle to solve or something. He probably thought I was crackers 😂 I thought they would be pretty fool proof though but clearly not!

I tried the clearblue digitalis that give 'pregnant' twice and both times they were book errors! So annoying given they are pricey
