SPERM MEETS EGG PLAN

Hi everyone, so me and my partner have been TTC for a few months, in October I ended with a miscarriage at 3/4 weeks (so really early), I wanted to know what everyone’s views on the sperm meets egg plan.
I know it’s not going to work for everyone but it’s worth a try right?
Let me know your opinions please!!!

And if anyone just wanted to drop in on this thread for some help too I saw this earlier that I’m definitely going by! And you can too if you want too

My opinion of SMEP is that it's far too much tracking and commitment for me but it is 100% going to maximise the chance of falling pregnant naturally. It's not much more effective than just DTD every other day of the month though, and DTD every other day doesn't require any tracking.

I've used SMEP both times and it worked both times. It requires a lot of dedication and to be honest I felt like I was just DTD to get the job done most of the time because it does become exhausting. Sadly we lost that first pregnancy, but currently 6 weeks now and hoping it sticks 🤞🏻

Yeah i get what you mean but at this point Im happy to try anything, I just want to definitely maximise the chance this month xx

We tried this last month and failed to stick to the schedule, mostly because sex became a task and it was causing a lot of pressure on my OH to perform as I was constantly fiddling with OPK sticks etc.
It didn't work for us and don't think we will go through that again.

Now that the pressure is off we are both enjoying sex a lot more and still doing at least every other day. But it definitely works for some people if you're both happy to give it a go!

@pollyell yeah my OH is okay to try and so am I, I mean there is no harm giving it a go is there? Also we are starting at cycle day 10 rather than 8 as my OH has been super busy at work so when he comes home he’s shattered, so we’re starting today anyway but fingers crossed that it will work for us xx
