Mc at 7 weeks, TTC again?!

Hi, I had an MC at 7 weeks. I'm keen to know when my period would effectively be the first day of my last period?!

Anyone else who had an MC at this stage when did your period return?

I ovulated 3 weeks after my MC (tracked LH surge) and trying to figure out when my period would start?

Thanks

Hey @Mumsdaily! Sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing ok. Sending hugs!

So I have had a MMC at 8.5 weeks (baby stopped growing at 7) and most recently a MC at 6 weeks. Both times, I ovulated within about 3 weeks after the miscarriages and as I typically have a 14 Day LP phase, so I came on my period about 14 days after my positive OPK!

X

Thank you for replying. So sorry for your loss.

That's really helpful thank you! I've been tracking my LH surge so did wonder if possibly I could go by my LP. We actually started trying straight away. Would be amazing get a BFP for Xmas but probably wishful thinking.

Such an emotional roller coaster! X

No worries! Whilst it's horrible to go through this all, I do find it comforting to be able to help others after what we have been through.

After my first miscarriage we didn't try straight away, but after my second, we decided to start straight away and I am currently 8/9 DPO. DTD about 36 hours before I ovulated so we have a chance, but I am wondering whether my body isn't ready to conceive again so soon, but we will see!

How about you?

X

Mumsdaily · 12/12/2020 09:55

I'm sorry you had to go through this twice! I'm afraid of the same.

As soon as I lost the baby I wanted to try again so kept with the opk's I'm also about 7/8 dpo. I'm scout ally having a bit of period pain already so I'm not really sure this month. X

I find it having a second time takes the pressure off trying a bit - as I won't be pleased if I get a positive - In my head I will just be waiting to miscarry for a third time.

I hope it doesn't happen to you, but only 2% of women have it twice in a row so the odds are in your favour!

Cramping can be a sign of implantation so don't count yourself out yet.

I am due on the 18th but we have decided to wait to test until then.

If you want to chat further, there is a group of us in the same situation - lots of chatter on there.

Thank you so much, I'll join the link.

It's been such a roller coaster. I'm so afraid of this happening again. But I totally get what you say that a BFP wouldn't be as exciting really because In my head it wouldn't be confirmed.

On that note I caved and tested early. I think I'm only about 8dpo maybe 9?! I can see a tiny faint line on my FRER. I guess I'll have to wait a day or so and see if it get stronger. But I can definitely see something. I'm not sure if FRER can give phantom lines or not?!

I MC my last pregnancy at 7 weeks and luckily, I ovulated and had my period around 6 weeks from then. I thought it would take longer. My GP said everyone is different so he couldn't give me a specific answer on when to try again but I bought ovulation kits and kept taking them until I reached my peak and then I knew I was going to get my period.

Sorry for your loss x

@pringlebells so sorry for your loss. My doc actually said best to wait a cycle but after looking through their leaflets and the websites they gave us, we didn't want to wait. Realistically I didn't actually think it would happen that quickly. Have you started to officially TTC again?

@J785948 I did another this morning, got up early. It's definitely a little darker than yesterday but still feint! 😬

That def is a line!
Sorry to hear about your mc. I had one at 6 weeks late July, got my period 29 days later in August and got a positive test late September. Currently 16 weeks pregnant. Fingers crossed for you.x

pringlebells · 15/12/2020 08:48

@Mumsdaily I started taking ovulation tests and once I realised I was about to get my first positive ovulation test we started, so officially 6 weeks after my MC

It took us 4 cycles to get our next BFP :)

pringlebells · 15/12/2020 08:48

@Mumsdaily that's definetly a strong line!!

Mumsdaily · 17/12/2020 06:51

Bit of an update....looks like the lines got stronger! 😊
