That’s the picture. Top one was my first scan and the bottom one was today. X

Which means when I found out I was only 3 weeks pregnant. Two of which you add on so maybe I was literally 1 week pregnant 😂 cause my digital did say 1-2 weeks and then you add the two weeks on. So maybe I was having a longer cycle and then ovulated later so the 9 weeks from period wasn’t right. My heads batter with working it out. Think I just need to relax and trust what they said. Because in reality I shouldn’t of had these early scans but then would of ended putting myself for a 12 week scan far too early 🤷🏻‍♀️

Attached the little form which says everything was there xx

@jessi60 oh yay so pleased it's growing and the scan lady was positive.

DP and I were puzzling over how according to the dating scan ours was concieved 3 days before I ovulated haha! But we thought, if you are working with measurements smaller than a mm, then a slightly incorrect measurement taken on the screen could throw out the dating estimate quite a lot. Which is what you were saying too 🙂 I think at the point you're at, it doesn't matter too much as long as there is a heartbeat and it's growing?

GreenApplesYo · 07/01/2021 17:38

Also hi @Greeneyedfairy welcome 😊

Greeneyedfairy · 07/01/2021 18:13

@jessi60 congratulations! You must be over the moon. I tested on 10dpo a few days ago and I got a nice visible line... You know the kind of one that our OH can actually see... 😄 I think us ladies have super powers when it comes to seeing faint lines, well that's according to my DH Grin Sadly it wasn't to be, but my point is that it's amazing how early the tests can detect a pregnancy.

@GreenApplesYo thank you for the warm welcome ☺️

Greeneyedfairy · 07/01/2021 19:49

I bought a diary today, so that I can keep track of vitamins, water consumption, cycle day etc I'm a bit old school like that 😆 Cd1 feels I guess.

So which pregnancy tests do you prefer to use? Boots have them on offer at the moment, so I am going to stock up on some tomorrow.

Dex1521 · 07/01/2021 19:59

@Greeneyedfairynaw I’m sorry it wasn’t too be. I’ve only ever had negative pg tests up to now but I have been using FRER as apparently they’re the most sensitive. Superdrug had them on offer before Christmas down to about £8.50 so I stocked up then 😂

Greeneyedfairy · 07/01/2021 20:15

@Dex1521 thank you. I am consoling myself with the fact that it would have been worse if I was further along. I use the first response tests too, but I mighty buy one of the clearblue ones with the weeks indicator. Mostly I try to keep the FRER's as they ain't cheap, and use IC's to test out my need to check.

Greeneyedfairy · 07/01/2021 20:16

Not Mighty Blush... Might

CardioQueen · 07/01/2021 21:19

Welcome @Greeneyedfairy - so sorry to hear about your CP. But on a positive, shows you can conceive, and as pointed out before it probably just wasn't the right egg. Fingers crossed for you ☺️

Ahh @jessi60 thank you so much! Was so glad to see you'd posted with update on scan, I was wondering when it would be. How exciting 🥰 and also makes me feel a bit better about all this dating malarkey - does make sense that when they are this teeny tiny it's very hard to pinpoint and also, they can't all grow the same amount everyday/week.

@GreenApplesYo yes I'm off to get chewing gum today! And boiled sweets! I'll try them all.

I was feeling rough yesterday so went and bought crackers, yoghurt pouches and sorbet (all I could think I could face eating) - DP comes home like ooohh I love these and just starts eating all the yoghurts and crackers. It was not well-received 😂

Foxl2222 · 08/01/2021 07:38

Ahh @jessi60 it's amazing to see the difference in the scans! So pleased that all is going well..have you told people yet?

Welcome @Greeneyedfairy ! Sorry to hear about the CP...rooting for you this month 🙌🙌

Is there risk of CP right up until the 12 week scan? It's hard to get fully excited so early on. OH is especially sceptical.

Have you had any morning sickness @CardioQueen ? At least you are craving healthy things lol

Decided we will tell our parents after I've had GP appointment on 18th Jan😌x

CardioQueen · 08/01/2021 08:00

@Foxl2222 I have had it again today but I was way more on top of it, had some crackers first thing and ate little bits through the day - I read that one of the things that helps is not letting your stomach get empty, that can make it worse.

I did have chips for dinner just now though, it was all I wanted 🙈

I've been reading about the things we aren't supposed to eat today. Did everyone know you can't have McFlurries/any soft serve ice cream?! Other McDonalds food can get in the bin but I love their ice cream 😂

Dex1521 · 08/01/2021 08:06

Did people find the month they conceived that their bbt chart followed the same pattern as previous months or was totally different pattern?

My last two cycles my average temp before ovulation was between 36.4 - 36.55 and had a really steady bbt chart before ov but this cycle it’s been really low started around 36.3 and everyday it’s gone down and today it’s scraping 36.

Maybe I’m overthinking it too much. But nothing has changed I go to bed and wake up at the same times and wearing the same long legged pyjamas too. It’s just funny two cycles were nearly identical and this one is off

@Foxl2222 I thought the risk of CP were only up until AF was due as that’s why some people miss that they’ve had one if they didn’t test early. Don’t hold me to that though as I’m not 100% sure

CardioQueen · 08/01/2021 08:15

Oh yes sorry @Foxl2222 I meant to reply to that part too. My understanding is a CP occurs on or before 5 weeks. After that it is a MC. The risk of MC is def highest in the first trimester though, but somewhat reduced after 6 weeks or after a heartbeat is seen. But this is why most people don't announce to their wider circle until past the 12/13 week mark.

GreenApplesYo · 08/01/2021 08:31

@CardioQueen what you can't have soft ice cream? No Mr. Whippy?! Haha. I didn't actually know that, although I haven't had any ice cream at all recently. Why is that? Ah yes you are probably approaching the carbs-only phase. The crackers are a good idea. I found porridge, plain popcorn and rice cakes good snacks as well. And I had lots of baked potatoes with beans for dinner.

@Foxl2222 A CP is up to about week 5ish. You get a positive pregnancy test, but then your period arrives either on time or slightly late. It's a miscarriage that happens before the pregnancy would be detected on a scan - once you get to the point where you could see it on an ultrasound, then it's just called a miscarriage as opposed to a CP. The risk of miscarriage declines week on week up to 12wks. I found this website handy datayze.com/miscarriage-reassure

GreenApplesYo · 08/01/2021 08:32

Oh sorry @Foxl2222 hehe I didn't see the other answers to the CP question

CardioQueen · 08/01/2021 08:42

@GreenApplesYo yes carbs are my friends now. I have also had beans on toast for today and yesterday. But yes no mr whippy or any kind of soft serve ice cream!

It's the risk of listeria, which actually mainly comes from the fact the machines that the soft serve is kept in are more like fridge temp (freezer temp kills listeria off) and nor are they very well-cleaned. I read that newer machines they have in big chains now usually heat up overnight high enough to kill any bacteria, but that isn't enough for them to take it off the high risk list. Appreciate it's the depths of winter back there and most of you won't be too upset by this news, but we're hitting peak of summer here and I did not know it was going to be a McFlurry-free summer. (You can have soft serve frozen yoghurt or normal hard freezer ice cream).

GreenApplesYo · 08/01/2021 09:03

@CardioQueen oh that's really interesting. And does put me off that kind of ice cream! Yeh it's - 1° and snowing again here, which doesn't automatically make me think ooh ice cream would be nice! But I will stick to Magnums in the summer.

CardioQueen · 08/01/2021 09:07

@GreenApplesYo yeah not gonna lie now I know that they are bacteria farms I'm less drawn to the McFlurries 😂

PowerOfFlowers · 08/01/2021 11:53

I had no idea about that @CardioQueen I craved MacDonalds chocolate milkshake last week and got one delivered. Good to know as I won't be doing that again 😄

Welcome @Greeneyedfairy 😀

Ohhh look at that @jessi60 Amazing the difference in the two scans! So happy you got to hear the heartbeat! Interesting about your dates.

Dex1521 · 08/01/2021 16:15

For three months now I’ve ovulated on CD14 like clockwork but my peak is no where to be seen!! OPKs are nearly white they’re so faint 🥲

Greeneyedfairy · 08/01/2021 17:04

Must catch up with you all. Currently putting away my Christmas decorations 😴

@Dex1521what opks are you using? I use the cheap ones from poundland and I can actually say I find them great abs and very accurate. I used to temp, but I invested in the Ava bracelet. Ava doesn't actually predict my ovulation date accurately, so that is why I use the opks alongside it.

Greeneyedfairy · 08/01/2021 17:06

@Dex1521 do you chart? Also, if you drink too much water before the test, I find it can dilute LH in the urine.

Dex1521 · 08/01/2021 17:36

@Greeneyedfairy I’ve been using premom for the past couple of months off of Amazon. I hold my pee for 3 hours before testing and honestly drink very little in a day which is embarrassing but I find when I’m waiting for my peak I drink a lot less than I probably should 😂

I only chart my bbt using fertility friend app and I scan my OPKs into the premom app. Just strange my temps are all a lot lower this month and no peak on the day I have been peaking for 3 months 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dex1521 · 08/01/2021 17:37

@Greeneyedfairy you must have the patience of a saint as I was fed up with my decorations by the 28th and they were all taken down 😂
