@JLP256 - This is so similar to what I do, I have a point in every cycle when I think right I am going to the Dr, and then I sort of move on to hope for the next cycle so I chicken out! Where I live I have found a fertility Dr who does a "fertility MOT" for £150 which is blood tests and general health of your ovaries & tubes etc so I think I might do that as a starting point? Totally agree and have read that before, they say whilst you obvs can get pregnant if you DTD every day, the "quality" is likely to be better, ever other or every three days.
In the meantime, I did actually make a call to my local GP, as on the day I think I ovulated I had really bad cramps like I've not had before, had to have a lay down! They lasted for a few hours, it's making me think something isn't quite right. Someone is calling me this morning I think :)
@AKcheer I try with the cheapie LH tests, but because I have no idea when I ovulate it gets ridiculous lol, and I also drink so much water (I tried to cut down and just had headaches!) that the lines never seem to be that dark. It worked for me one month and helped me to realise how late I ovulate but I just hate having to POAS!!
I am feeling so hopeful for you girls!!
Looking at my BBT chart, I think I ovulated on CD 23 and usually have a 28 day cycle, but imagine it will push back slightly due to the late ovulation. We DTD on CD 21 and that was it, I was feeling really grim for the next few days with my wisdom tooth infection I could barely eat properly let alone try and have a snog! So my chances this month are about 2% haha, I am okay with it because I know we didn't catch the peak days. Just so frustrating not knowing when it will happen! I feel like we chase the ovulation and it feels sooo pressured, I hate it. On to the next month... although I know I have a pretty horrid AF ahead of me, it is always bad when I ovulate so late :(
So the research I have done into boosting Progesterone naturally (watched some videos and read some articles):
Low progesterone is likely due to estrogen dominance and can cause delayed ovulation, short LH phase, and other hormonal issues
Foods to help the body produce progesterone:
- Fibre rich (Oats / Flaxseed / Quinoa)
- Zinc (Seafood, Nuts, Lean beef)
- B6 (Fish, Dried Fruit, Seeds, Eggs) - I have got a supplement for this
- Magnesium (Spinach, Nuts, Wholegrains, Avocado)
- Vitamin C (Oranges, Broccoli, Kale) - I take a vit C supplement anyway
It also says to reduce body fat... and I know I have put 10lbs on since lockdown last year... I am trying to address that !
Any joy today @KerryW87 ?
