Did I ovulate? Bbt chart

Hi,

Wondering if one you you bbt experts can offer any advice!

Usually ovulate between days 19-23. This month my app said I ovulated on day 15, i hadn’t been using opks. I was sceptical because it’s never happened before so started doing clearblue opks from the 17th. Low results until the 20th when i got a static smiley. I put my ‘peak’ result into ff so it then removed the ovulation line on the 15th.

Dtd 20th, 21st and 22nd. Didn’t have ewcm either dates, but I don’t usually get a lot of this anyway.

This morning I had what looked like brown cervical mucus when I wiped (after a bowel movement, sorry tmi) so assumed the app was right in the first place and my period was coming (usually have a 13 day lp), however I’ve had nothing else all day and no cramps until about an hour ago when I’ve had really light sort of aches but nothing like I’d normally get pre period.

Anyway my question is, judging by my chart do you think I ovulated and when? I don’t want to get my hopes up for an implantation bleed if I didn't even ovulate this month 😞

Hmmm it's a really tricky one. Although there are some higher temperatures towards the end of the cycle, I can't see any particular pattern, so I would probably say you haven't ovulated. Must be a very frustrating month for you!

I'm not sure it looks like you have. I think possibly cd25 could have been an attempt but the lower temp today has thrown it. Your temps are low, like mine, when I've ovulated mine tend to be 36.5+ I think if your temp goes back up tomorrow there's a good chance you might have a few days ago. It's tricky though as it could be an anovulatory cycle too. Hopefully you get some clarity in the next few days 🤞 x

Looks like you ovulated on CD21, you have the dip which is expected and then your temps were staying high until today. With the drop today is probably indicates af is on the way.

@op keep testing. Sometimes I don't ovulate until much later (CD35 last time). Your temps are still low, mine usually remain low with several 'attempts' at ovulation until my body finally does it.

@ChasingTheMoon sorry no, there's no temp shift on there. How do you temp btw, I'm a bit concerned that some of your temps are as low as 35.7, which to me indicates that your temping isn't very accurate.

Hi @Juno231 thank you for your reply. I temp orally, the last few cycles my temps do seem just generally lower overall but not sure why! 🤔 I’ve considered doing it vaginally instead but heard this wasn’t as accurate 😬

@ChasingTheMoon I've always thought vaginally was far more accurate! Less fluctuations and less tampering with external factors. E.g. with 35.70 I would guess you probably slept with your mouth open? I sleep with a mouthguard so often find myself waking up with an open mouth and have to wait a couple of minutes with it closed before I temp. Just something to bear in mind!

@Juno231 oh that’s so interesting! I sleep with a retainer so I wonder if that’s affecting them. Think I might try vaginally next month and hope they get back up 🤞 good luck to you! 💗
