Is ovulation even possible?

Sorry me again, I have posted a few times over the past couple of weeks.
I had a missed miscarraige and had medical management 15 days ago. I stopped bleeding a couple of days ago and cheapie hpts were negative. Over the weekend I have had alot of signs of what i thought was ovulation, ewcm etc. I stupidly decided to take a digital clearblue test to make sure it was negative and it said 1-2 weeks pregnant!! So is it even possible i ovulated this weekend, if there is still hcg in my system after miscarriage?

It's likely to be hcg from the miscarriage. 1-2 is when you would have conceived (according to the range of hcg the test tests for). If still have positive tests at the end of the week, you may need to seek more medical treatment for retained products.

This is unlikely to be a new pregnancy.

Very sorry for your loss.

@physicskate sorry if my post was badly worded, I know its not a new pregnancy and is remaining from miscarriage. But I wondered if it was possible to have ovulated at the weekend with hcg remaining, or if I have yet to ovulate. Just so confusing, I knew my cycles so well before this happened and I hate knowing what my body is doing :(

Until you get a negative pregnancy test your body won't kick start a new cycle.

@bluejay123 I'm sorry for your loss.

I think the pattern of things is different in every pregnancy and every miscarriage, but after my MMC I was still getting positive tests for about eight weeks. I kept testing because the hospital had told me to check tests turned negative a week after I saw them (the miscarriage happened naturally in the end).

I was asked to go back in for a scan to check for retained products when the test was still positive two weeks later and all was fine. The scan showed I had just ovulated but the tests stayed faintly but definitely positive for several more weeks. As the scan had been fine they weren't worried about that, just said sometimes it takes longer for the hormones to completely fall, but, as we saw, it didn't stop me ovulating two weeks after the miscarriage.

All that to say that, in my experience, yes, it's possible. But different every time and the most important thing is to go back and make sure you don't need any further treatment.

I hope it all goes simply for you from here.
