Ectopic pregnancy and ttc

Hello all
This is our first month TTC after an ectopic pregnancy at 8 weeks.
My period is due in 3 days and I'm getting a BFN on pregnancy tests so I'm assuming I'm out this month which I was sort of expecting.

For those of you who have had ectopic pregnancies or miscarriages even, how long did it take you to fall pregnanct again? Need a bit of hope at this time!

Sorry you went through this 💙 I had my ectopic in April, had to wait 3 cycles before trying again and no luck so far ☹️ Took 5 months to conceive that one

I’m sorry to hear about your loss @Halli2020. I don’t have any good news either to share. I had an Ectopic in June at 6 weeks and I have still had no luck at falling pregnant again. However there is a thread on here called TTC after Ectopic and there are many people in there who have had ectopics and are currently expecting. Hopefully this will help you.

Fell pregnant a month after my 1st ectopic, but that ended in a 2nd ectopic pregnancy.

Waited a year, then got pregnant again, took 2 months - thankfully baby was in uterus and is now 4YO.

Then got pregnant again (accidentally) last year, straight away the min I realised I had already ovulated! It was too late for the morning after pill to work. Unfortunately that ended up being a 3rd ectopic pregnancy.

Lots of baby dust to you. I know I've had many EP but I hope it brings comfort that you can still get pregnant right away. X

Also forgot to say, before I had my 1st ectopic, it took 6 months to fall pregnant! I was a lot more fertile once I had one of my fallopian tube removed.

It took us 5 months (after a 3 month wait after the ectopic) to conceive dc1. Dc2 and 3 were conceived quickly and I had no problems in pregnancy etc

I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic.
I had my first ectopic with tube removal in Feb. Conceived second cycle after waiting the 3 months. This was another ectopic.
Currently 5w pregnant after 2 months ttc and waiting on a scan to see if it is in the right place 🤞🏻

Hi I had ectopic in June treated with methotrexate so had to wait 3 months before TTC again. I fell pregnant again in October which unfortunately ended in a miscarriage last week at 8 weeks but the plus is it didn't take long to become pregnant again

I fell pregnant on my second cycle after ectopic ( tube removed) 6 y ago. I now have 5 year old daughter. Interesting fact- my tubeless right ovary produced egg and left tube was able to catch it! After that I fell pregnant again last year ( again right side, no tube) and that was MMC sadly.

I had a ectopic at the beginning of October. It took me 5 weeks to get my next period and for the last month we have been using protection. I’m waiting for my next period and then we are going to try again! Should be any day now but I’m getting anxious. I really want to try again but I am going to be so nervous once I have a positive test! @coffeewithmilk - congratulations on your pregnancy! Please let us know how your scan goes :) xx

@Halli2020 just wanted to say a quick 🙋🏻‍♀️- so sorry to hear of ur EP - Im in a similar situation last month was the first month without contraception after Mexo treatment period came a day early which was such a treat!! 🙄This month slightly different as I ovulated right in the middle of my cycle (I usually OV a little late) today my AF is due but no sign yet, the only difference this month has been pulling sensation at day 25 of my cycle which I've never experienced before ... trying not to over think it though !! I've done a huge amount of research into ectopic and the likelihood of conceiving afterwards - it all depends on the scarring/adhesions in the tubes and if both are damaged - or not really - my consultant wants to go in and do a laparoscopic exam in January to see what the issue is as she thinks she may be able to repair it so my hope is that if it's not my month I will know more after surgery - if you ever need to chat 💬 ping me a message I know exactly what you're going through - wishing lots of baby dust to you - Becca x
