Wanting to hear stories of the very earliest it's possible to get a BFP on a pregnancy test?

I got my BFP with both 6 days before my period was due. I do think I ovulate early as my pregnancies always moved slightly forward in dating scans.

I swear I've got squinters on internet cheapies at 8dpo. With my last pregnancy I was desperate to poas and so I used an internet cheapies at 4dpo and got an evap line which I thought was weird but knew it couldn't be positive. Anyway turned out I ovulated 4 days earlier than I thought and was actually 8dpo so I think it was a positive.

Rachetine · 06/12/2020 13:22

I got my positive at 11 days post, it was a first response one.

It's not really a question people can answer accurately because unless they are having IVF or monitoring scans the best they can do to track ovulation is use OPKs which can only suggest that ovulation will occur within a certain window which could be up to 36 hours and then it can take up to 12 hours for conception to happen

Having done 5 rounds of IVF I can tell you that it's scientifically impossible to get a BFP earlier than say 6DPO at the earliest - it takes 5 days for a fertilised egg to become a blastocyst and then it has to hatch before it can even begin implanting and start producing hcg.

I got a very faint BFP at equivalent of 8DPO - but I'm having twins x

I've had them at what I assumed was 8dpo

JLM1008 · 06/12/2020 17:38

For me it was 2/3 days before my period with each of my 3 pregnancies. I didn’t track ovulation but new when my period was due as my period is very regular every 29/30 days.

8 DPO based on ovulation test (6 based on inaccurate calculators).

Definite BFP. Here it is.

@dogsandbabies congrats! What kind of calculators were inaccurate for you? Bear in mind that the ovulation tests only give you a heads up that it will happen in the next couple of days so maybe 6-7 dpo was accurate? Hard to know!

pringlebells · 06/12/2020 18:18

I got my positive at 10dpo evening urine with my DS, very faint but there

Rachetine · 06/12/2020 18:30

Just to add, I was using Ovusense which told me the exact day I ovulated, my test was defo 11 days later

Rhodxb · 06/12/2020 18:51

@Dogsandbabies that's amazing 🤩

Lots of early ones here! Not sure when I ovulated but I am on cycle day 19 and usually my periods are 25/26 days so sounds like I need to wait a while yet to test! Super impatient 🙈

Most of them, I tried P.C., clue, ovusense and they were all off. My Fitbit is closest but they all predicted an average of 3 days later than I actually ovulate. I get ovulation pain so I can pinpoint reasonably well when I ovulate.

I got my BFP at 7dpo on a clear blue 6 days early test. I know my dates for ovulation where correct as I tracked ovulation with bbt and it was always spot on.

Bleepers · 07/12/2020 07:31

I got a clear BFP on a FRER at 8DPO but reckon it would have been 7DPO if I'd thought of testing then x
