Hi ladies I’d love your help I have a 13 yr old daughter and we are currently trying for baby num 2 😱 I conceived DD when I was 25 a spring chicken I’m now 38 we are on our 4th mth trying which I know is nothing in the grand scheme of things , so each mth of my very regular 28 day cycle I seem to ovulate on cd 12 - cd14 I get absolutely no symptoms bar ewcm I start checking opks cd 10 till I get my + and we follow the smep from cd8 or 9, so each mth I’ve noticed around cd 17-19 I get what feels like ovulation pain lots of dull cramps and stabbing pains which I always think might be implantion each mth only to then not be pregnant so I’m now wondering am I actually releasing my egg late like 5-7 days after my LH surge is this even possible had anyone else had this ? I know we are ment to release our egg 1-2 days after the + but what else could explain this pain ? This mth we are going to continue sex every 2 nd day right to cycle day 20 to just cover all bases

Hi @Mamee01 Have you looked into tracking your bbt? Might help you pin point your ovulation day?

I haven’t yet no that too seems confusing and my temp goes up and down all day long I don’t think I’d be able to tell much , I think I was thinking ewcm plus + opk was plenty but o was just wondering where the cramps come from 5-7 days later 🤦‍♀️ Have you ever had this

What about watching for when your vaginal discharge becomes slippery like egg white? This usually happens between day 10 and 14 on average for a 28/29 day cycle. Sure sign of peak ovulation and egg release. I used it to conceive at age 25, 29 and this year at 34. You're still young at 38

Sorry just seem you watch for ewcm. When you get those pains what's your discharge like? Once you are beginning to notice changes in cervical mucus, I would have sex every second day (or every second day from cd9 to cd18). I won't be waiting for a + opk as if you're not versed in using opk by the time you get your positive you may have missed ovulation. I tried it once this year got a positive and next day blank.

Yeah I’m with you on not over relying on opks so we have sex cycle day 8 , 10 , 12 13 14 15 then 17 & 19 and around 17-19 I’ve no ewcm just a lot of cramping All my ewcm is cd12,13,14 right now I’m 3dpo bad diarrhoea and constantly feel wet down there and like I need to wee a lot I run the loo thinking it’s a period or wee but I’m ok and I’ve still some emcm

You seem to have all bases covered as I would have done similar. Who knows it could be your month. Don't forget to take folic acid as well. When is your period due?
