Hello all,

I recently posted a thread regarding ttc.

To cut a long story short, me and DH have been trying to conceives for a year and had no luck. I went to the GP with regard to bad pms and pelvic pain and pain during sex and they referred me for smear tests, blood tests and an ultrasound as they thought it could be hypothyroidism or PCOS. My first blood tests came back with low TSH and now they have came back normal. The smear test and ultrasound have also came back normal and now my gp is saying there is no further action to take for me. But I'm still having the same problem and definitely don't feel like something is right with myself. Me and DH can't even have sex sometimes because it feels so sore and we haven't had any luck at all with pregnancy - two chemical pregnancies :(

Any advice is appreciated as I feel like we are stuck and have no direction at all :(

Asked to be referred to gynaecology and a fertility doctor
Pain is not normal and not fair or something to just put up with, I had such painful periods and sex got referred and had a laparoscopy and they found endometriosis.
Also surely if u have been ttc for over a year they should be sending you to a specialist
I would maybe try and speak to a different gp and ur practice and hope they are more helpful x

Thanks so much for your reply!!

It's just so frustrating when you know there is a problem and nobody listens to you

Hopefully a different gp will be more helpful if not might have to change practices but I'm sure u have a right to request a referral to see a consultant at the hospital

I’d push for a referral to a Gynecologist, if you know in yourself somethings not right don’t give up with trying to find it out. It’s not great to have to do, but at my old GP I used to have to exaggerate the symptoms to get a referral anywhere, that was nothing baby related, but after a few return visits I got the referral I wanted. I hope you manage to get seen by a specialist x
