Hi everyone just after a little bit of advice please as I get sucked into the world of google and read so much stuff and don't know what I should be doing and what I shouldn't!
I have been off the pill for almost 2 years, never really had regular sex as we lived with our parents. We decided a few weeks ago we would start having a lot more regular sex, and if it happened it happened (I was genuinely under the illusion I would fall pregnant straight away LOL how silly I was) so we are going to really go for it and try hard. The idea of ovulation strips really stress me out if I'm honest and I'm useless at reading them. How often a week having intercourse is classed as enough to try to fall pregnant? Every other day or should I aim for everyday of the month the app tells me is my fertile week? I never honestly thought that baby making would be so confusing! Thanks in advance. I just would like to get an idea of what I should actually be doing instead of being sucked into google and reading all this contradicting advice!

Hey! I'm in a similar boat to you. First month actively TTC. I bought the Clear blue digital test as I couldn't trust myself in reading the strips haha. Basically, the test will either give you a circle for low fertility, a flashing smiley for high fertility, and a stuck smiley for 48 hours for your peak!

I'm on day 15 of my cycle and reached my peak last night. The kit is so easy to understand.

Thanks for the reply! Honestly I see so many people that know what they're talking about with these strips but I just can't understand them. Im just constantly like is this the darkest line or will it be darker tomorrow so I'm always concerned I'll miss it!

Also, I've read every other day or 3 days for the best chance of convincing. For me, I had 4 days of Low fertility and 3 days of high so I DTD on the first two days and was going to have a break on the third but the test indicated my peak on the third day in the night so, I DTD as it's meant to be the best time to. I'm still pretty new to all this haha

I'm guessing I got sorta lucky with the kit, as I've read people wait ages to get a peak.

I'm completely the same. There are loads of digital kits out there though which probably will be more helpful :)

I'm also new to TTC.

I'm trying to dtd every other day throughout the cycle. Use easy@home strips and upload pictures of them onto premom app. It tells you when you should be ovulating
