Minster2012 · 01/12/2020 10:17

Welcome to the longest running funniest bus ride in history! Or so we like to think anyway...

We talk sex, tv, work, more sex, food, slimming, RHR, charts, spicing things up or down, crafting (a more recent addition for 🎄🎅🏻) and help each other out in any way possible. Oh and yeah Trying to make babies gets mentioned a bit too but more often than not our bodies just do what they want!

When I say a few of us have been around the TTC block I don’t mean 🍆I mean as a MN group, not just a bus, a mini sanctuary since March for some of through the highs and lows of making babies through 2020 ❤️🥰

How we roll on this bus...
⁃ No judgement & each to their own on your TTC journey
⁃ Sense of humour DEFINITELY required
⁃ A few of us like a sex toy a few don’t, there may be sex toys discussed! 🤪a few of our fellas have enjoyed this aspect
⁃ Support each other, ranting is allowed, saying you are down is encouraged & celebrating our happy days too 😘
⁃ We have fun
⁃ If you have a pet, it’s welcome aboard
⁃ Now mandatory picture of your 🎄tree when up or Xmas decorations / Xmas jumper or similar
⁃ Ditto Wreath - extra points awarded if wreath is homemade 🥰
⁃ NOTHING IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION

@Vil10 currently holds the 👑for filthiest/most embarrassing story, can you beat her??? Though @lucyrp recently spewed sambucca over her fingers so maybe that’s debatable

Story so far...

June 24 BFPs
July 11 BFPs
August 18 BFPs
Sep 4 BFPs
Oct 7 BFPs
Nov 7 BFPs

2 BFPs in Dec already and it’s the 1st 🥳

How many more 🤔

@lucyrp hope your oh is ok after this morning x

@amy2503 sorry you're feeling down :( we've all been there honestly, it feels draining and hopeless sometimes, but try your best to stay upbeat otherwise it'll ruin the whole process. I say this and most days feel like you lol, but just got to keep living life and one day the miracle will come. What does your fiancé do?

@2alreadywantanother ah so sorry lovely, hope they sort you out soon x

@DOB78 ah yes I had similar but with the pill. Still fucked but now I know it's pcos. Let's hope you're regulate soon x

@clolo that's amazing to hear! What fertility processes have you been through already? Any meds etc? I have my first apt on Friday and am so excited to see what they offer me. If they could just put us through ivf I would be over the moon, but I know it's unlikely. Though the issue is both of us so who knows 🙏🏻

Actually that's a question for anyone who might know, if I have pcos and hubby has sperm issues, what treatment are they likely to offer?

@Minster2012 I know this sounds silly, but how do they get the egg out for ivf? Is it up the foof or...?

@katekam10 work is a great distraction for me, and during lockdown anything creative was good! I've kindve given up hope now so symptom spotting isn't an issue anymore 😂 good luck!

@notyetamumbuttrying omg no way 😂😂

Vil10 · 08/12/2020 18:30

@katekam10 welcome!! I have no advice for symptom spotting I'm afraid!! I like to say I've got a lot more calm since the start of TTC but I still find myself symptom spotting! Hoping I won't be too bad this time because I'll be focusing on wrapping Christmas presents🙄

@Kirky658 I feel like ignoring mine too! Like I said I got a high on an opk today but my rhr already dipped over the weekend so it wouldn't match it, but I know so many things can affect your rhr like coffee, exercise, being ill, so I'm trying not to read too much into it! Fingers crossed for you!!

@lucyrp here's to af not arriving!!🤞🏼

@Minster2012 @DOB78 sorry what did I miss?? Something about devaluing an African probe?? Also minster, love the choice of sides, haven't had potato waffles in years!!! I love them!

Juno231 · 08/12/2020 18:41

@Minster2012 mmmm to be probed by an African 🤤

AHobbyaweek · 08/12/2020 20:19

Anyone who has the email with money back, is it related to the get pregnant in nine months or get your money back guarantee??

AHobbyaweek · 08/12/2020 20:22

So no wet patches in the court room today! Case is getting interesting but I'm EXHAUSTED. few rough and a bit sick to be honest. Not sure why. Thinking the fluorescent lights have got to me.
No sign of AF. No idea how often I should test now and would easily test everyday but I am sure I will get told off 😉😉

2020mission · 08/12/2020 20:43

@notyetamumbuttrying just went into that AIBU thread and I 100% call it a jag 😂 it's a Scottish thing. Jaggy needles

InkyPaper · 08/12/2020 20:50

Hello to all the newbies!

@Katao definitely time to get out a pen and paper! Losing all that data would be awful!

@amy2503 ttc is hard enough without already having mental health struggles too. Just to echo what the others said, don't be afraid to seek help for it. Depending on where you live you might be able to self refer for therapy without going through your GP if you don't want to.

@2alreadywantanother big hugs for you

@Kirky658 bodies are so weird! Hope your thumb heals quickly 😊

@lucyrp how's your OH doing now? Is he feeling better?

@Minster2012 your tea looks amazing! Waffles an all 😂

@AHobbyaweek according to the test packet (because I'm a huge nerd that always follows the rules) you should test again in a week if AF doesn't show up. So maybe give it a week?

Theoretically my app says this is fertile week, but in practice who tf knows?! 😂 Had such a stressful few days at work (that's literally going to keep being stressful until Christmas 🙈) that that it's probably pointless anyway 😂

lucyrp · 08/12/2020 20:56

@InkyPaper yeah he's okay thanks. Still not great and he's having tomorrow off work too to rest. He's not happy I'm going into work though 😂x

2alreadywantanother · 08/12/2020 21:00

@Katao to be honest I'd rather think it was something like that rather than something I did. Having a mc you think all things. Plus during pregnancy and for a few wks after remember I'd awful tooth trouble. Tooth, gum infection then had to get it pulled.

@minster2012 of course u can pm me x

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/12/2020 21:00

@2020mission that was new to me! 😂 Love how we all say things differently tho, be boring if everyone was the same!
@lucyrp I'm glad he listened to you Lucy, well done! X

JustMouse · 08/12/2020 21:13

@amy2503 - I had a huge melt down last month when AF turned up. I thought OH was asleep and took myself downstair for a cry (sob) but he heard me. It's been really difficult trying since January, but I do hope you get your positive soon.

@Minster2012 - hmm...i'm wondering if I can do waffles in the toaster at work and have them with some spaghetti hoops - hmmmm...

I've had a headache for most of today, which made work difficult but I made it and couldn't escape quick enough at finishing time. I even had a nap when I got home. Just hoping I can sleep tonight now.

Newbie0818 · 08/12/2020 21:15

So I was just involved in a free webinar run by a local fertility company and it was very interesting. I now understand all the different treatment options such as ivf, iui, etc. I would highly recommend joining something like it as it was very informative.

Now to DTD, good night! (She says as she crawls up the stairs to bed and tries to keep eyes open).

@Newbie0818 I would never had an implant again it messed me right up some months bled for 3 weeks then 2 off 2 on it was awful.
Might be clutching at straws but my fertile week was 21st to 27th. DTD 22nd and 24th. I thought it was just AF coming but around 4th lots of clear sticky cm, sorry tmi ? Implantation. AF 2 days late and don't feel like she's coming. Only 1st month TTC and I think I may have lost the plot already 😳

AHobbyaweek · 08/12/2020 21:24

@InkyPaper a WEEK!!?!?! Hmmm I'm an impatient person.
Sounds like you need some 🍆🍆 if you might be in FW

Minster2012 · 08/12/2020 21:35

OMG fridge open @Franklydear noooooo

WAFFLES FOR THE WIN & @Juno231s "to be probed by an African prince" both added to the next bus list, it was lovely to drive your bus ladies but I fear I won't be on Mumsnet much in the future with that last one 😂😂 no wonder she bloody stepped aside 🤔🙄

@Newbie0818 getting the eggs out, oh yes, they stimulate your eggs to ripeness which means MEGA bloated ness & soreness looking about 3 months pregnant hopefully about 10 follicles for most ppl (me 4, one empty) then you go legs up whilst someone (not an African prince) probes you to pop them out up the foof, you are usually get given mild sedative or put to sleep or like me half and half during which time DH said I talked utter BOLLOCKS to the nurses and for most ppl it's ok but uncomfortable for me I felt like I'd done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson as they said "oooo we had to rummage around for one, it was hiding and then unfortunately that follicle had nothing in it" 🙄so I was bruised inside basically. But nothing a day of lying around couldn't fix.

@DOB78 as you can see nothing is TMI 😂and you've not lost the plot already....just use me as an example. You are sane.

@InkyPaper get some dick girl!!

@2alreadywantanother will send a pm tomorrow if that's ok, surrounded by Xmas presents atm before DH gets back tomorrow night!

@JustMouse waffles in the toaster?! Yeah why not! Lots of times though as frozen I guess. ONG like pop tarts, they were THE HOTTEST THINGS IN THE WORLD when they came out 😂hope your head gets better, how was DH btw?

OP posts:
lucyrp · 08/12/2020 22:03

@JustMouse waffles in the toaster certainly!

Katao · 08/12/2020 22:49

@Vil10 i think you were mistagged. @DOB78 and I have been getting dodgy notifications from premom saying we have won money.

@2alreadywantanother I understand what you are saying, you must question everything so it is at least an explanation.

@AHobbyaweek i usually go for testing pretty much every time I pee at that stage 😂 so ya once a day, fiiiine!

JustMouse · 08/12/2020 22:55

@Minster2012 and @lucyrp - off shopping tomorrow, so I think i'll buy some. Eww to pop tarts though.

Head seems to have worn and i'm ok but as guess, I can't sleep! I'm not too impressed with him at the moment and he knows it. Has yet to ask or ask anything in regards to the pregnancy. He not a man of huge words, so i'm hoping things will be different over the weekend when he is back.
I did the referral for the midwife yesterday, but haven't him. Kind of gone with the well if you don't ask attitude, i'm not going to tell. So it will be up to him. I very much doubt he'll be around for the midwife appointment or 12 week scan anyway.

Juno231 · 08/12/2020 23:24

@Newbie0818 with pcos and MFI I've definitely seen iuis recommended before - with something like clomid or letrozole to help control ovulation (if your pcos tends to mean irregular cycles). Not sure if that would be more the private route rather than the NHS though. Funnily enough theres a clinic round the corner from where I work that often does these webinar/seminars but I've never been! Maybe I should make the effort - would be handy to use one just down the road from both OH and me.

Juno231 · 08/12/2020 23:26

@JustMouse I'm sorry about shitty OH! I just know mine will probably be the same so I feel for you. Yours is in the army right? Mine's ex army so I sympathise.

Minster2012 · 09/12/2020 00:03

Oooo he's back at the weekend @JustMouse, if he's not good give us a holla. Bloody men, mind you it's easy for him to just not think about it I guess.

There's a fair few might owls on here tonight! I'm in bed, as DH is the early nighter with him away I'm on my schedule 😂, however a word to the wise ladies....I had a lazy morning with DS this morning as he's got a bit of a cold & I fancied getting snuggles whilst I could...usually when daddy around at the weekend I literally get a hand to the face "NO YOU GET OUT OF MUMMY DADDY BED" he's proper daddy's boy...so I thought hmmm could be proper lazy here. Went downstairs. Sorted dogs, brought up toast & fruit/drink. Winner. Morning cuddles. Kids Tv, coffee. Lovely.

DON'T EVER FEED A TODDLER TOAST IN YOUR BED.

It's a river of crumbs here. Princess and the pea has nothing on me right now. Prob wake up Bridget Jones style with half a slice stick to my forehead 🙈😩night ladies

JustMouse · 09/12/2020 05:54

@Juno231 - He was so good last month, when I had a huge meltdown, when AF turned up. So on one hand i'm a little shocked at his reaction but on the other i'm not. Yes he's army. Not sure how he has managed a whole weekend off, I kind of switch off to it all after a while.

@Minster2012 - I will give you a shout if I don't get any response.

How either of you understood my last post with so many typos!

Sounds like a dream morning. Normally we are tucked up in bed asleep before 10pm, but with him away i'm not sleeping, so add in having to stop some medication, i'm struggling even more and by 5.30am, i'm awake. It's going to be another long day!

Juno231 · 09/12/2020 06:01

@Minster2012 now are you sure those crumbs aren't just dusty remnants fallen out of your cavernous foof onto the sheets again 😁

@JustMouse I had a bad night's sleep as well - OH came home from a business dinner at just past midnight and I had to let him in as we only have one set of keys. Then the bastard proceeded to work on his laptop in bed for another 20 min and now I've been awake with work anxiety since 5.30am 😅

Florence13 · 09/12/2020 06:26

@Minster2012 love the princess and the pea reference but can imagine toast is not the best for a toddler with getting crumbs in your bed. But sounds like a lovely morning.
