Anyone got pregnant while on the pill

I'm sure there are many threads like this but my friend had got pregnant while in the pill and it's worried me a lot as she said she was taking it perfectly.
She is on the same pill as me rigevidon.

Is this common? Has this happened to anyone else on here?

I had my first DS while on rigevidon.

Rigevidon is 99% effective if I remember right so that would mean 1 in 100 women will fall pregnant on it. Also things like vomiting and diarrhoea and certain medications can interfere with its effectiveness too. If you're worried then you should look at another method of contraception or use condoms alongside the pill.

I know several people.

Nothing is 100% effective.

@Dearmaria thank you for replying Smile would you say you were taking it properly?

I wouldn't say I'm too worried about getting pregnant as I am engaged and can definitely afford a baby. but it's just a scary thought getting a huge surprise like that lol

Me. Was on Yasmin, taking it religiously, had been on the same pill for 7 years prior to that and no problem. Partner was also going through a period of having intermittent ED due to medication he was on so DD really is a miracle Grin.

Yes I did. Unfortunately mine ended up being a eptopic, which I passed through the tube myself.

@Aquarius111 Definitely taking it properly. Had been on microgynon since I was 13 for help with acne and then switched over to rigevidon. Always took it religiously at the same time every day, always took another when I was sick. I was just that 1 in 100 Grin. It was definitely a big surprise, I had only been with my now DH for just less than a year! If you know that you would be fine if it did happen then there's nothing to worry about, but definitely double up if you're concerned. X
