Hi everyone! I haven’t checked in for a few days but hope you’re all doing well.

@ACNass I’ve been temping for 6 months now, my rise happens slowly over a few days, so for me it’s whether I see a sustained and stable rise each day for 3 days or more and then it stays elevated around that point. I’d say if your temp is above 37.35 today and then higher again tomorrow that’s a good sign you ovulated when you think you did.

I got my peak LH on Saturday (cd 15) so think I ovulated yesterday (cd 17). I got a temp rise this morning so just waiting for tomorrow’s to properly confirm. We’ve been doing SMEP for the first time this month so one more BD to go tomorrow and then it’s fingers crossed for the tww! I’m only 1 dpo and am already driving myself crazy.

What pregnancy tests are everyone using? I’m seeing the little strip tests a lot? Are they better?

How's everyone doing? I'm 8dpo and had some mild period like cramps today but not getting my hopes up. Last month threw me so much that I'm adamant I'm not symptom spotting this cycle 😬

Hey @Dogmum13 I’m 8dpo today too, Had a little cramp yesterday but I’m putting it down to me symptom spotting too much, as last week I was convinced my boobs were sore just trying to relax now.. when are you going to test for your BFP?

Got a slightly darker line , would have taken a pic but in a dash getting ready for work. I dont know where you ladies get your first responses from but I ordered a pack on 2 last night for £5.09 and next day delivery- thought id let you know because It sounded cheap. Il try a FRER on fri 🤞🏻xxx

Hi everyone. I could do with some advice/support at the minute.

Today myself and DH found out we have about a 1 in 250 chance of having a baby with a specific genetic condition (based on our families' history). It's very rare in the general population but like I said our family histories have increased our risk.
We are going to go ahead and get blood tests done but this could take a couple months.

I'm now stuck in the dilemma of should we continue ttc? This is our second cycle (I haven't ovulated yet). I feel slightly reluctant to continue, but at the same time I don't want to wait any longer as the time is right for us. Despite my reluctance, DH thinks we would be mad to stop trying now we have started.

Any advice would be appreciated at the minute as I feel a bit knocked back!

Yes , did one 2 days ago and this morning it was easier to see! Iv ordered some FRER to try on friday a.m. AF due tomoz feeling v. Nervous about it 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx How are you doing ?

Yeah I'm good thanks. Everything is getting really fun and Christmassy at work (albeit virtually), and it's cheered me right up. I also feel excited - either for a positive preg test or a boozy Christmas - this month feels like a win win 😄 I've still got 9 days until period is due so my mood may well have depleted by then, but I've got a lunch with my girlfriend booked in for the 18th so we can either celebrate (she knows I'm ttc), or commiserate AF with a huge glass of vin!x

Awww @Raffie13 that is a really tough call for you and I can completely understand why you'd feel torn. Are you sure bloods will take that long? I've had a couple in the last few months (for different things) and I got results within 24hrs. If it was me, I might just put it on hold this month because it's Christmas anyway. Then reassess in the new year. At least you'll know how long blood test wait will be by that stage and likely before your next window of ttc.
On the other hand, if you do decide to just crack on, 1 in 250 is a pretty tiny chance. You've just got to go with your gut xx

A few days before my period is due and I've given in and tested a few times! All negative so looks like not a case of first time lucky for me sadly! 😢 at least it means a boozy Christmas is on the cards though! 🍷

AF due tomorrow :-( Tested this morning and got a BFN... :-( I think I'm out.

I think the reason it's going to take so long is because they have to refer us to our GP to take our bloods, then send it to a hospital where they have my family members DNA stored (sounds creepy!) and then send them all together to another hospital to get them analysed.

I'm in such a dilemma as my DH is happy to do whatever (wait or continue) so the decision now is on me.

I might make a post about it and see if anyone's been through similar 🤦🏻‍♀️

@TheHC I don't test unless late. I just wait to see if af shows up 🙂 this is cycle 13 for me so couldn't cope with testing every month

Approx 14 dpo , looks pretty positive to me? I have never felt so dizzy and light headed in my life as I have done this week!!
