Building uterine lining?

Hi all,

I’m due to start IVF in Jan... once I get there, I will need meds to induce a period before I start. I need to have a thick enough uterine lining to be able to have a period induced, I have about 15-20 days to get it above 6mm... any ideas as to what I can do to help?

Thank you!

@PT8998 ivf ladies on my other busses guzzle pomegranate juice daily to improve the thickness of their lining and it seems to work for them. The good kind mind you, probably not the concentrate.

100% Pom juice - you’ll find it in the fridge isle tucked away in corner.
Baby aspirin as well. Best of luck

That’s great! Thanks! I forgot about pomegranate juice, I will have a hunt get some and see if I can figure out how long I need to drink it for and how much to drink daily! Appreciate you taking time to reply!

Some ideas:

Vitamin E and l'arginine after ovulation / egg collection.
Rest up when you're bleeding - those days are when the body is replenishing lining.
Daily legs up against the wall / shoulder stand to get the blood flowing.
Hip opening yoga exercises.
Acupuncture specifically for lining.
Blood nourishing foods like red meat, leafy greens, black pudding, pate, beetroot, pomegranate, mussels, oysters, goji berries (eat them when you're bleeding to help blood production)

Thank you! Is it not worth taking Vit E prior to treatment too? I have been taking it daily for a while now!

Waiting for dates to be confirmed, then I’ll be having acupuncture, lots of food stuffs on order ready!

Thanks for your response!

If you will be taking Gonal-F as a part of your treatment plan that should help, otherwise I am sure I've heard of drinking grapefruit juice (not sure if it's an old wives tale).

Daily exercise too for blood flow.

Good luck.

Thank you! I’m not sure yet! I haven’t had all of my info through. It’s mostly just to build up the lining to qualify for the meds used to induce a bleed so that I can start treatment. I’m doing everything that I can between now and then in the hope it’ll just make things easier! 🤞🏼

Yes defo for the vitamin E, but especially that and L'arginine in luteal phase.

I think progesterone pessaries really help too, and apparently viagra!
