Hello everyone!

New here but been lurking for a while..

So I've been officially/unofficially TTC for about 6 months now. I say unofficially as I didn't want to get stressed about it but here we are!

This cycle I was sure I was pregnant, all the symptoms, even the unusual ones. Boobs really hurting, nipples darkening, nausea.. I could go on. Was waiting for AF to be late to test, then surely enough AF came, 3 days early. Started off fairly light, only when wiped but then since it's been very heavy with large blood clots - and I never clot. I also have had intense cramping, like sharp pains, which also never happens. Could this be a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage? And should I contact the GP?

Hi OP! TTC is definitely a stressful time! I could be wrong but to me it doesn't sound like a chemical, it would be really early to be having all those symptoms and I would say it's more likely your hormones all over the place with recently starting TTC and thinking about it a lot, this really can play tricks on our minds. We were TTC for 2 years before I got my BFP that stuck in September, so many months I'd convinced myself I had all the symptoms etc and I think a lot of it was my hormones changing due to stress.
I'd say with your AF coming early aswell that it's unlikely to have been a chemical as that wouldn't have left much time between implantation and due date to have the symptoms be related to pregnancy ifyswim?

I do think it's great that you decided not to test early as that really does just cause heartache and I'm sorry that this wasn't your month. Fingers crossed for you that it happens soon!🤞

@MariaA11 it's possible that you could have had a chemical but without testing before your af, you won't know. No need to contact your gp.
I had a chemical this month. I know because I tested positive on the sunday, the subsequent tests got more faint and my af arrived on the weds. It was a bit crampier than usual, but the scene length

@Lou98 Thank you so much for replying! Thank you, that does put my mind at ease a little. Think when I started thinking about it I started obsessing a little..! Going to try and not think about it too much next month!

@MamaMoonbeam thanks for replying too. Sorry to hear about your chemical. Keep thinking I should have tested but on second thoughts would have been disheartening so so sorry you went through it. Good luck for next cycle!
