Faint BFP or evap line?

Hi everyone! I'm TTC baby #1, this is cycle #1 and actually the first time I've ever taken a pregnancy test! I'm using PreMom strips. I'm only 8DPO so expected a BFN, which I thought I got - but when I went back to the strip several hours later, to my surprise there looked like a faint pink line.

Is this an evap line or a faint positive? I know I'm probably testing too early but I'm so excited and impatient with this TWW!

Hi @onemissingthing I can see something slight but it is very early days, why don't you try again tomorrow with fmu? Also those tests aren't very sensitive, so it is unlikely they would pick up HCG at 8 DPO. FRERs (First Response Early Result) are the most sensitive but are more expensive so best saved for around 10 or 11DPO x

@onemissingthing waiting is so very hard! If you didn’t see the line within the time, you can’t consider it a reliable result. I don’t see any colour in the photo so could well be an evap. Try again in the morning. It is early unless they are early detection tests, but fingers crossed this is your month in any case! 🤞

@onemissingthing If the faint test line appears after the reading time frame, it should be an evap line. I heard some ladies tested positive at 10DPO with those premom HCG tests, hope to see your two lines soon, fingers crossed🤞
